“The quality of the meals is generally good. The chicken and turkey meat are remarkably tender. The beef/steak meat isn't that much, but it's ok. The plastic seals are impossible to peel off and must be cut with a knife or other sharp tool. On meals with separate compartments, it can be difficult to cut the top film when the cutting tool reaches the divider. These are not necessarily complaints, just observations. Improving these areas may not be cost-effective, so if fixing them would raise the price of the meals, then "NEVERMIND"! I particularly like meals with turkey and broccoli, which minimize carbohydrates, which are important for me as I am a Type 2 Diabetic. It would be helpful to see the sodium amounts in the upfront information for each meal, rather than having to drill down to the nutritional information. If you can create or modify current meals, or as separate option, for lower sodium AND lower Carbohydrates, perhaps listing them as "Diabetic/heart healthy friendly" that could be very attractive to gain new users among the vast population of folks that require the lower values. If those options were available and still had the excellent flavor of the present meals it would make Metabolic Meals a cut above all other vendors of prepared meals.”
“I have tried 2 other companies and switched because of the high sodium content. Meto jas low sodium and very good. I like the feature that I can pause when I choose not to have a delivery. Theres holidays, vacations and times family is in and we “have” to cook meals, bummer but I unpause when I ready.”

A lot of the meals sound good to try until I see they contain mushrooms - not everybody loves mushrooms. I’d like to see some fish meals and spaghetti with real Italian meat sauce options. Also please label spicy dishes so I don’t have to guess by reading ingredients.”
“For a senior citizen couple these meals are perfect. Portion size is adequate, but you could order larger protein portions if you want. Generally the food arrives on time and it is cold. The shipping package is strong. The only issue would be FedEx. Sometimes it looks like the box was rolled end over end to the door because the meals are no longer stacked and there are usually a couple of meals where the individual seal has been broken. However this is not a frequest occurrence.”

“My husband and I enjoy the Metabolic Meals to supplement our lunches. We’ve been using them for many months now, maybe even a year. We certainly have found some meals that we really enjoy versus others that are just OK or we don’t like it all. The macros fit well with my needs. I do find most of the meals need additional seasoning added to them. My husband was worried the portion sizes are too small, but he’s finding they do fill him up. He sometimes adds a roll or something like that. We have had numerous occasions where a meal will arrive with the plastic film cut, seems to happen from the way they package them with the ice packs. Customer Service is quick about providing a coupon code for a free meal on your next order. I do really wish they would switch up the menu more often and put out new meals because it does start to get a little boring, a lot of repetition.”
“As a physician who is health and nutrition conscious and doesn’t want to always be eating hospital cafeteria food, these meals are a game changer. I don’t have the time or desire to meal prep, but want to still hit my macros. These meals are usually spot on and aren’t loaded with sodium. The fact that they are gluten free and don’t use seed oils is a huge plus for me. All the ingredients are real with no chemicals you can’t pronounce. Taste-wise these meals slap. I hadn’t had a single meal I haven’t liked. And unlike other companies I have tried, the meals arrive with their packaging intact and no meals lost due to rough transit. Customer service is always quick and helpful. I had a box very delayed in shipping once due to a storm and they handled that with speed and care. Give them a try, you won’t regret it.”
“So far the experience has been very good. The meals are tasty and good portions. The main thing I would add is a way to pause the service instead of having to manually go skip multiple times for multiple weeks in a row. Maybe this is something I'm just not aware of. There are times I accumulate meals or am out of town and it would be nice to pause it for a couple of weeks to get through that instead of setting a reminder to skip.”
