“Think really heard before hiring anyone from mybuilder. Please do not trust their feedback system for trademen. I hired a tradesperson based on their feedback and that tradesperson has done a runner after I paid him. Now @mybuilder are refusing to take steps. They don't want to know. They do not care. They do not want to penalise the tradesperson either or suspend the account. Presumably because they are paid by the tradesperson and not by end users like myself. If anyone else want to take Mybuilder to court please reach out to me as I am looking to instigate a class action against them. @Dailymailuk @Bbcwatchdog @Which”

“shires tree surgery. Wayne Pugsley quoted for a crown reduction on a cedar of lebanon tree and drastic reduction on 2 conifer trees. His quote was very reasonable and he carried out the work recently. We are very pleased with the results and would recommend his services to anyone needing tree surgery. We used him 3 years ago and stated then that we would use him again, which we have. Very happy customers. Thankyou Wayne.”

“Prunus Treecare arrived today as previously planned Communication via email and telephone from Prunus was prompt professional helpful and impartial. There was no pressure to purchase their service and they were extremely patient and helpful We are delighted with the results. There were three small birch trees at the front of the house and a willow and an English Acer out the back. They all look very neat and pleasing to the eye after Prunus had topped and reshaped them. The team left our premises pristine which was much appreciated. They were clean and tidy throughout their visit and removed all debris. I will in future use Prunus again and I have no reservation about recommending Prunus Treecare to family and friends. Thank you very much gentleman from Prunus Treecare”

“Absolute rubbish company. Paid a hefty sum for bathroom installations, tiles shipped from Spain and Italy. The builders I got from their site, did a absolutely appalling job. There has been leaks for the last 1.5 years. The sad path is I no longer have a job, so I cant afford to repair it. The bathroom stinks without being used and honestly, I am very depressed by this. Trader is now conveniently in Poland. Think again if you want to use their platform. Their complaints process is a sham and you will never get due redress. Since you have asked for more information and to prevent you from providing a generic response that would attempt to make my complaint look trivial, here is what your complaint handler provided to me as a response. Hi Alice, Thank you for your time earlier today and, once again, sorry to hear of the issues you have had with Mariusz. Following our conversation, I have tried to call Mariusz but there was no answer. I have sent him an email asking him to make contact with me. I will update you if I hear anything from Mariusz. If I do not hear from Mariusz, I will follow him up one last time in the next couple of days. In the meantime, please can you send me details of any messages you have from Mariusz of him explaining he is bankrupt and now living in Poland, along with any pictures of the work he has done? As discussed, please click this link for more advice on the Small Claims Court. If you do take any legal advice, I would advise that you make them aware that you believe Mariusz to be bankrupt. For completion, please see below the contact details we have for Mariusz. As I mention above, I will keep you updated. Please let me know if you have any questions. You have not taken responsibility for this, even slightly in any way. Lest you forget, you did inform me in your email on 13th November 2020 that you would update me on blocking Mariusz; account. I can bet you didn't until further complaints were made by other customer's to this effect. Your company have been fraught with terrible reviews of your customer's terrible experiences with tradesmen, but again no responsibility.This review has detailed to communicate my dissatisfaction with your services, whatever that is. For a company that acts as an intermediary for tradesmen that stand to collect thousands of pounds, you should do better. I only hope others have taken the time to read through the email thread. As I have now found, trustatrader offers a much better service. You can do a comparison online of these companies. I hope you all make better decisions than I have going forward. There is no point going back and forth with this company. They have just shown through their response that if you decide to use their services, without mybuilder plus and the tradesman decides to go bankrupt or move somewhere else, you are liable for the damage. However, we now offer an insurance policy - MyBuilder Plus - to cover people for the occasions where work is unsatisfactory or tradespeople run into financial problems. After ten years of successfully using MyBuilder to source work and over two hundred positive customer comments for completed work, the tradesman received several negative customer comments in succession and we took action to permanently close his account. “Sofiene Tahri of Avatar Builders Ltd refurbished my bathroom. I have never seen such dedicated professionalism in all my 77 years. he is knowledgeable, dedicated, polite and fair. nothing is too much trouble. he will, over time, renovate the rest of my house. I would not even consider anybody else now. I will post photo's in December when the bath and sauna I have ordered has been supplied and installed.”

“Posted my job today got a responce from Abraham Elec within 30 minutes . Job done same day . very polite and extremely curtious looked after my mum and me. Price very reasonable and his workmanship was outstanding. Will definitely use this company again”

“Had a damp proof course and a new floor put in the hallway by a firm called E S B builders. I was very pleased with the work they carried out. They were very efficient and professional would highly recommend the. I found them on line in my builder”

“Hopeless posted two jobs only got one reply to each posted job the first one an electrical supply to my shed price was priced so high guess he didn't really want the job the second one a plumbing job tradesman never even turned up to his made appointment to view and quote total waiste of my time”

“To find a person to do the job for me was easy, job was done poorly, but the person promised me it will get sorted out, 3 years later I am still chasing and no luck. Asked MyBuilder to support and allow me to edit positive feedback I have originally left, but apparently I am not able to because of some policy they have. Wish they had better customer service.”

“Mrs Diana Rossington,I needed a emersion heater fitted . I had a very nice young man from safetech Electrical contractors . Irang him on 19/0721 .he told me could do the job on the 20/07/21 . He came at agreed time . He knew wich part i needed & fitted it he was a very polite young man . I Would definatley use him again & Highly recommend his firm .”

“I recently used Declan ohare to do a whole list of minor repairs such as sticking sash windows broken fittings and furniture He went to great lengths to find appropriate materials and everything now looks good Is work standards and personality are good and l will certainly fly use him again”

“Faultless. Superb first class service from William. Picked kitchen with helpful advice from William. Got plans drawn up. Delighted with quote. William was a first class joiner who took pride in his work very tidy as he worked. Great communication as work was getting completed and very trustworthy. “Ian Morgan (The Travelling Toolbox) has recently fixed a water butt and guttering for us. Excellent service - punctual, professional, personable. It was a tricky job but he persevered to get the job done. He even fixed a bolt on the garden gate that he'd spotted needed attention on his way in! Ian has only just set up his diy business. Book him soon before he's really busy.”

“I recently used Martyn Thompson of Pro Job through MyBuilder to move a 8' x 14' shed from one side of my garden to the other. He and his dad arrived well before agreed time and wasted no time in getting the job started. i found them both to be very pleasant and very helpful. they soon finished their task and then helped with a delivery of heavy timber carrying it further into the rear garden than the delivery firm allowed.. In the evening I discovered a slight problem and reported it to Martin who arrived in the morning to rectify it and all has been well since. They apparently carry out several aspects of maintenance etc and i would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone. i would point out that i am a genuine customer and this recommendation is true.
