I booked an electrical certificate through MyConstructor and paid in advance on 2nd September 2024. The assigned contractor cancelled on me three times, at the last minute.
Despite giving them multiple chances and communicating, the service was never completed. After the third cancellation, I contacted MyConstructor to request a refund, but they closed the dispute without issuing any refund.

I wish I had looked at these reviews before booking. Supplier called me 20 minutes after the appointment was due to say that they wouldn't be coming. I went to cancel on the website but because it was after the appointment time I couldn't. They've already taken my money and the system makes it impossible to request a refund.

I ordered cleaning service with this company, after a week of payment. They came back asking for additional money which I declined. They went ahead and cancelled the service, which throw me to panic and end up not meeting the time for my tenant to check in.
The refund does not come in until a week after.
Be very careful as they are not reliable.

Awful. Very very dodgy. They take your money upfront. Mess around with bookings and then refuse to refund you. I've had so many issues with them. It actually scares me that they're still going and haven't been investigated

We booked them 1 week before the visit for a ECP certificate and paid in full. They cancelled the appointment 1 hour before they were supposed to visit. The customer services called and said they were sorry and that they would refund our fee They have not refunded us, are not answering our calls or emails.
