“We have been getting my vegetarian Food bag during lockdown and we have loved it the 20yr old who is home from her flat was appalled we had order the vegetarian bag as she wanted Mum and Dad to be paying for meat she cant afford in her flat. BUT a week in and she was sold on it, admittedly some nights we add meat as we also have a 16yr old rower who likes his meat. So I suggested changing to the classic bag to get the meat but they said NO we like the interesting flavours in the Vege food bag. The 20 yr old cooks most nights and its perfect we have all the ingredients and the recipes so she just goes berserk in the kitchen, the results are amazing, she makes quite a mess but we are not complaining. Who would have thought we would all love curry roasted cauliflower or lychee coconut and mint salad........really has us cooking and eating wonderful things we would never have thought of trying.”

“I love My Food Bag, meals delicious, except for the duck. I have asked not to have the duck (was told I couldn’t change) so gave it another go tonight. Neither of us liked it. The only meals that we haven't liked. Please do not send it again. I will be cancelling my order for that week if duck is in it. Thanks”

“I started My Food Bag in February 2020 and was so glad during this lock-down period that it continued as it meant I only need to visit the supermarket once a fortnight. I'm on the Fresh Start program which I absolutely love. As a woman in menopause and with a pre-diabetic blood test result, it has helped me achieve weight loss and better fitness. I included Alcohol free April and walking 10000 minimum steps a day, to loose 5.5 kgs now which will hopefully continue a downward trend still and prevent me from type 2 diabetes which I was heading for. The food is so fresh and easy to prepare and I love all of the recipes - often with grains and vegetables (and the way of cooking that I have not done before) to make the gourmet looking meals ( sauces are great :) ) - postable to Instagram!! Lots of my friends have been jealous of my lovely food and the pictures. I love getting my email with my upcoming meals for the next week to salivate over!! I will definitely continue My Food Bag for sometime to come as I think its been fantastic for me. Thanks Ali”

“We as a family have really enjoyed having My Food Bag. The produce is of a high standard and even under the pressure of the Covid19 crisis our boxes were awesome! Once I had a few items missing but my email and a credit for the missing items was attended to promptly. I’ve just changed my choice to try the Wellness Box. 😊”

“Love the idea that a bag of food gets delivered every week with recipes. BUT the white fish is usually old and smells terrible, i usually end up throwing this out. Would be great to get salmon instead or the option for another meat meal. The meals take way longer to cook than the recipe. The sauces are usually super nice. 50/50 are whether or not the recipe is nice. Would be great to have an option to pick what you want.”

“After getting the wrong delivery this Monday and the nightmare it took to get in touch with someone to rectify I was told there was a my food bag fit left and wld b sent to me as a replacement Tuesday. I got an email confirming this too. Tuesday came and went but assumed as I am Far North I cld expect it Wednesday. I called 10am that morning to follow up as no notification that it had bee sent and was told it was definitely enroute and shld b to me by 11.30am and to call if not ther by 12pmish. I waited till just before 1pm to call and follow up to be told that if I hadnt got it Tuesday then they doubted if it was coming at all. Sure enough they were right. I am to b credited and given a 30% discount on next order which I appreciate but is very Mickey mouse and it was said that there were issue with NZ Post but Mondays issues were solely with My Food Bag. They gave me the wrong order it was delivered no problems.”

“I was hesitant to try My Food Bag to start off with as I figured it would be cheaper to shop myself but a discount code (and a few extra kgs) was enough to give The ‘Fresh Start’ bag a go. We haven’t looked back. It provides interesting and yummy recipes that we would have never considered before and really expanded our views on different types of foods available. Getting the exact portion more or less is handy too so there isn’t much wastage which would naturally happen when we shopped ourselves. The flexibility is key for us as we work variable hours so when we have a few nights missed of the bag we can just jump on and skip the next week so we don’t end up with too much. Only downside for me is at the time of writing this the Fresh Start isn’t changeable and as I don’t eat seafood it means one of the five meals I skip the fish/prawns but I still eat the rest... basically just a vegetarian for a night! In terms of assisting weight loss we have found that using the Fresh Start bag combined of course with self restraint, has given us a gradual weight loss whilst not leaving us hungry/hangry. If you haven’t tried it, do. It takes the guess work out of “what’s for dinner” and is easy peasy. My partner now thinks he’s such a whizz in the kitchen I don’t have to cook as much!”

“I just love the fact that for 5 nights a week I’m getting a healthy low cal meal and I don’t have to think about what I need to cook. The communication is fantastic, meals are superb, delivery is precise and I wish I had done this years ago..... plus I’ve lost 13.6kgs in the process .... yay”

“We get the gluten free box and it’s so convenient for us! We both finish work late and lose motivation to cook yummy food so this is perfect for us. We get new meals for the work week, they’re delicious, easy to follow and We think it’s great value for what you get (as it is enough for our dinner and lunch the next day).”
