“I first heard about NACA from a friend and was prepared for a long process that would require lots of documents and effort.
At my very first meeting with my counselor, she clearly explained what was expected of me. I gathered everything that was needed and scheduled my second appointment. To my surprise, just five days after that meeting, I was approved to start looking for a home! I honestly couldn’t believe it.
The process turned out to be far less difficult than I had imagined at the beginning. The entire NACA team stood by me every step of the way, and I’m extremely grateful for their support. I also chose to work with NACA’s real estate agents because I felt it was important to go through this journey with people who truly understand the process.
I was especially impressed with the two amazing women I worked with — Kimberly Williams and Cassandra Hardimon. Their professionalism and support made everything possible.

“My NACA Experience So Far
I’m currently going through the NACA program, and overall it’s been a good learning experience. I really appreciate that the program helps people like me prepare for homeownership without the pressure of upfront costs like a down payment or closing costs.
The process does take time and requires a lot of paperwork and patience, but I understand it’s to make sure buyers are truly ready. Communication can be slow at times, but staying organized and proactive helps.
I’m still in the process, but I’m hopeful and excited about the opportunity. If you’re serious about buying a home and willing to follow the steps, NACA is definitely worth considering.
