“I have a very fussy border collie and this is basically the only high quality food he gets on with. Between the lamb and chicken and the occasional other flavour he hasn't gotten board of meal time in the last 6 months, which was a real problem before. It's also cheaper than any of the other raw foods that are sold locally, and rated significantly better on allaboutdogfood, and it gets delivered next day so it's just as convinient as going to the shops if I'm running low.”

“Dogs love the food but I don’t like the packaging. The paper on the bottom gets stuck to the meat and have to manually scrap it off often losing some of the meat.”

Hi Annie, The small sheet of paper under the product may look insignificant but it’s an essential part of the manufacturing process – in basic terms it allows us to portion the meat more accurately, as it stops the product sticking to the conveyor belt resulting in uneven pack sizes. Without it, every pack would have to be manually weighted by hand resulting in a huge cost increase and/or inaccurate weights. If you flip the contents out while still frozen/semi frozen then it just peels of easily. Hope this helps x

“We followed the Naturaw feeding advice to go ‘cold turkey’ when switching to raw, which made our dog so unwell he almost required hospitalisation. We’ve spent over £200 in vet fees within a week of feeding him Naturaw and he still suffering the consequences of extreme pain and diarrhoea, which even affected his ability to walk.”

“It total honesty we purchased this due to knowing it was ranked #1 I'm the UK. Our dog has only ever been raw fed and as a 16 week old golden retriever. Hasn't ever been fussy about food until now. He wouldn't touch it. We tried for multiple meals when he should have been hungry and with mix ins he loves. Nothing. The packaging was unhelpful if anything as the boxes are large for the freezer and the paper film on the bottom on the meat is annoying once defrosted. Not the best experience we switched back to Bella and Duke”

Hi Hannah, Our ingredients, British suppliers and quality control measures ensure nothing sub standard ever leaves our kitchen. Some dogs (including one of my own personally) can be creatures of habit and fussier than others, turning their noses up at a change in food or a the natural smell of a particular ingredient that their previous food did not contain. This does not in any way reflect the quality of the product - i'm sure you are aware of some of the things dogs DO eat/lick, their judgement isn't always in their best interest! Please message our customer service team who will give you advice on how to transition if you're having teething troubles. We completely appreciate that our food won't suit everyone (we would try to help with that though) and that the convenience plastic provides will be worthwhile for some people. But giving a widely acclaimed, certified and awarded family owned company that put everything into what they do a 1 star worst-possible-score because your dog was fussy, and another brands tubs fit your own specific freezer better, is incredibly, unbelievably unreasonable!

“My Westies absolutely love the food. I love the packaging apart from the bit of paper on the bottom of the food. When it’s thawed I need to physically touch the meat to turn it over and remove this paper, I cannot remove this when it’s frozen. I think this should be removed from your product. Other than that I would highly recommend this food.”

It also would make it very difficult to drop a portion of meat cleanly in to a tray without getting it on the rim - believe us we have tried! If you flip the contents out while still frozen/semi frozen then it just peels of easily. Hope this helps x

“We have just tried our first pack of raw puppy. The dog loved it and the packaging is a joy after using another raw food. We can compost most of it or recycle in the home collection. Ok it’s a bit more expensive, but seems good quality and you get what you pay for. We plan to save money with a subscription on our next order.”

“Very efficient service, and great products - much enjoyed by our dog. We mix her supplements (Dental Boost and Tummy Boost) into the meat and then squoosh it into a LickiMat Wobble Bowl to slow down the rate at which she eats - she'd devour it in seconds otherwise. And I love that you can return the wool packaging. Happy customers all round, human and canine!”

“Logan, my German shepherd loves all food, but now he is on naturaw, he gets so excited at dinner time, that he has started doing little bunny jumps as I’m dishing up and he takes time to eat it as if he savouring the flavour. In addition, I have peace of mind knowing I’m giving him quality, nutritious food. Thank you for creating naturaw.”

“It would have been a 5 if the paper hadn’t recently been changed on the bottom of the meats, the old paper always came off in one, the new paper is a real pain”

“I've tried lots of raw foods for my dogs and natraw is the one my dogs love and will eat and leave clean bowls , I recommend natraw, the treats are great too my dogs love them.”

“Love this dog food, and more importantly, so does my dog! She's always been fussy, and prone to skin problems, but now she gobbles up her food in seconds and has a lovely smooth coat to boot! I'm also a big fan of the packaging, as it's all recyclable/compostable. Love it!”

“I was struggling to find food that my Labrador would consistently eat and was delighted to discover Naturaw. He loves it and the benefits are easy to spot, including a glossy coat lots of energy. I have also been pleasantly surprised by the lack of any unpleasant smell and the packaging makes the food very easy to store as well as being recyclable which is another plus.”

“Love the fact that the packaging is all plastic free. We were using another brand until recently and I hated all of the plastic waste. Naturaw is pretty much the same price yet it uses eco freindly packaging. The meat all looks and smells like something I'd use myself and the dogs are loving it, not a single nose truned up!”
