“This was my first time ordering online, and it worked quite well. I found the selection of wine on offer was limited and most of them were in the expensive bracket. Not a lot between 12 - 16 euro.”

“O’Briens have a great selection, prices to suit everyone and I LOVE that they do special offers on good wines then put the price back again ie, they’re not just selling off rubbish. The staff are very helpful and it’s a space that’s pleasant to shop in. You can get , unlike in Supermarkets, a decent wine for €12 sometimes less! They’re great! I just wish they also sold high end chocolate!”

“I buy on-line and only from "one-off" sales and promotions. Service and value are generally very good. My only complaint is that it is never quite clear from the website alone what vintage of the wine is on offer. Vintages might be less variable than formerly but they still matter and it is a pity that the purchase can't always be closed out based on reliable data on the website alone.”

“Whenever you need them most - Christmas / COVID - they stop delivering beer. At all. Even if you want to buy multiple cases. Why? So they can make more profit by only delivering wine.”

“Very happy with order, just to let you know I didnt get any notification that delivery was being made as advised I would. The delivery was made by O'Briens van not courier. If I was in back garden I would not have heard the door bell.”

“I purchased a gift of two bottles of wine to be delivered to Galway on 27th Feb 2020 as a birthday. It didn’t arrive until I made a phone call to you. Same thing happened last year. I order from you every year. Not good enough”

“The process of purchasing online was easy and efficient. Delivery was on schedule. However one wine I ordered was incorrect and I received an inferior wine in its place. I complained and my complaint was dealt with quickly and efficiently and to my satisfaction. I should also say that the monetary difference between the wines was small.”

“I always go to o briens in blanch and love the guy working there that seems to be the main guy . He is not Irish as has an accent . I love wine and like a recommendation and he is always so helpful and knowledgeable and nice! I went on 7th april and there was a guy working there I did not recognize, very tight hair Irish. He was checking me out , I didn’t have my loyalty Card so the non Irish guy I like was trying to help him suggesting ways to find me quicker on the system. He was being so defensive and rude to him while he was only trying to help . I have shopped while not having my card before and usual manager finds me pretty quick on the system, which was probably why he was trying to help . I also had a child waiting in the car so would have preferred a quicker check out . Anyway , I really like regular guy in blanch , new guy was down right rude and esp in front of a customer”

“The delivery arrived in perfect condition and within a few days of my order. The only negative remark I have to make it the selection of wines available for 'home delivery' appear to be less than those on offer in our local store and also they tended to be more expensive also.”
