Was told to log onto portal. Portal didn't recognise my details so had to waste more time ringing back

Took for ever to get the breakdown request sorted. Couldn’t do it online. A nightmare.!!! Third call to customer service who organised the breakdown service easily. Quick response within the hour but sent a breakdown lorry. He started my car for me but couldn’t confirm what was wrong with my car as it wasn’t his lorry & no tools!! He was very helpful though & followed me home in case I broke down. Which was great because the thought Of trying to get help again frankly would have been a nightmare.A relieved customer to be home with my car but it’s won’t start again now & hopefully I will get it started at home by jump leads & get it to my garage to be inspected & told what’s wrong with the car. This usually happens from my breakdown service. A Very disillusioned customer

When I managed to speak to a person on the phone everything fell together and I got good service.. As for ONE CALLS phone number being out of service and having to speak through text and go through a portal that does not work, I am very disappointed. It took me nearly an hour to eventually talk to someone. That's why I given a generous 3 stars..

Rang One Call at around 2pm and received Good service from the telephone agent, who said someone would be with me by 15.40pm. Mechanic arrived 20 mins before time given, after 10mins he said nothing he can do to help and rang through explaining to me that I would need recovery assistance and One Call would be back in touch with me. After approx 30 mins One Call rang back and only after confirming payment would they ring for recovery. Received a text from them saying Recovery would be with me by 17.42 pm, by 18.00 pm nobody had arrived and was just about to ring One Call when I got a text from the recovery guy saying he would be with me in approx 45-60 mins. Recovery vehicle finally arrived at 18.50, 2 1/2 hours after initial phone call. I am not complaining about the service from the One Call telephone agent but having to wait approx 5 hours from time of call to vehicle being recovered seems to be an awful long time to wait especially as the mechanic and recovery came from the same company who were stationed just 20 mins down the road.

Helpful telephone response, finding my location online quickly from my obscure description of the main road slipway I had pulled into. response within 65 mins, not rush hour & central city location, was disappointed that only a recovery vehicle operative who after telling me to switch on engine informed me it was broke, however, they were very pleasant so maybe just me who didn’t find the humour in that 😂. Remove car to specified garage of choice within approx 30 mins

Chap that turned up looked like I was an inconvenience to his day. He spoke very little and mostly ignored my questions. My car was turning over so realised it was battery. He quickly jump-started my car and asked for my keys and floored the throttle. He told me to drive for an hour which I did. The next day I started my car and the engine warning light came up saying reduced engine power and then car would only go about 15mph. I drove it to the garage where it cost me £300 for battery and new throttle pedal. Would I use One call again? No thanks!

When my car broke down taking my kids to school, the guy I initially spoke to was rather evasive and unhelpful and actually cut me off as I was arranging to pay the call out fee. He even suggested the call out mechanic wouldn't be able to diagnose the problem and would just ask me to contact a garage! However, when I called again a minute later, the 2nd advisor was very helpful and when the recovery man turned up within the hour he restored my faith as he looked at the problem and then towed my car to my usual garage a few miles away. Nothing was too much trouble for him.

Lanes Recovery-the driver was excellent and very helpful, efficient and on time. One call made no offer of transportation for the driver and passenger. In fact told us we needed to find our own way. Broke down in the middle of nowhere and no questions asked about age, mobility and vulnerability of people. Covid is not an excuse for ignoring duty of care.

Call handler was very helpful and polite. However I did have a 2.30 min wait for the recovery truck. Would have like faster recovery time.

Advisor very helpful, but was not expecting to pay £20 for breakdown as was covered by insurance policy.
