I've been waiting for something like this for quite literally years. Peter Martin's approach allows so much space for creativity, technique, theory and so much more than I imagined. These lessons have given me the confidence in understanding the thought process of a jazz piano player. This is great teaching!

I am so grateful for the "Elements of Jazz Piano" course, I was stuck without a path in sight for improvement, now I have much to practice and I have a clear path for improvement in my jazz piano

2 weeks in and I’m loving the challenge. Find that space where it’s just out of reach and work for it with a host of great classes and world class musicians. I hardly ever leave comments, but just wanted to say thank you. The world needs focus and camaraderie, and music is the way.

I have been playing classical piano for many years and have recently been trying to acclimatize myself to Jazz. I find the learning process with Adam and Open Studio to be very intuitive and easy to understand. The ability to have on-demand practice sessions is extremely helpful. I am thoroughly enjoying the journey - although it is still very early on.

Very good course. Geoffrey Keezer is an outstanding pianist. But more than that, he's giving advices that really assure improvement in jazz piano playing.

I wish I had found you earlier. However, the content is well planned and detailed. My only criticism is that I started on Elements Blues, broke off and, when logging in again, couldn't find it. I'm still looking! It would be good to be taken to the page you last viewed. Adam's content is great but I find Peter finds it difficult to stop himself going off on a flashy solo which is not productive in my opinion. Maybe it's for more advanced and competent subscribers. Overall - very happy with what I've worked through. Alan

Hi Peter & Adam, It's only been a week & not a lot of time has been found to dig in. Basically what I have been doing is searching for the critical gaps in my jazz piano education. What I have found so far is pretty impressive hence the 5-star rating. One of my weak points is not having a lot of tunes memorised. (Aussie spelling) I'd like to get to a point where I can confidently hear correct changes (not the real book ones) and play them by ear. Remembering melody is fine and finding the harmonic progression is getting better but needs improvement. Are there any lessons designed specifically to address mastering hearing the changes? A huge resource I am only beginning to tap. Was a little confusing learning to navigate it all and finding my way back to lessons I had already started, or to the pro forum, but I since got the hang of it. It really is a tremendous resource. Excellent job

So this is a very reluctant 4 stars. Peter and Adam are a superb double act, really inspirational teachers and the podcast and lessons are just marvellous. Room for improvement lies in the structure of how the lessons are presented. It’s just hard to see where you are. Particularly as I have the Piano Pass (or whatever it’s called) so it’s just hard to navigate the content. But content is kind right and you guys are doing a fabulous job. Thanks for inspiring me to finally take playing an instrument rather than just learning studio techniques more seriously. Lx

Have the everything pack. Have sampled Jazz brushes, Bass philosophy, Dianne's "Infant Eyes", Brazilian guitar, sax, but timewise, focusing on piano finger independence, Monk & the blues in all its permutations---Thanks!

Excellent and well thought out lessons - really enjoying the hip banter, loose and soulful feeling in the presentation but very structured materials that help me, the student, progress. Currently my favorite teaching site for jazz.

I'm an old seasoned jazz pianist but still always looking to improve. Very well explained lessons that have made me think about some of these jazz theory concepts in a new way and motivated me to practice more. Thanks.

I appreciate very much the work of Adam, Peter & the other musicians and I have purchased 18 courses at the moment. Their teaching effort is visible and encomiable. I'm not a professional in music (I am a lawyer in Rome, Italy...) but since I was a child I played piano for pleasure and I was intrigued by the movement of the parts in the songs. In each course I find something useful to apply to my playing; and improving my English, of course :) Good, hugs to all and keep it up!
