Well first of all , thanks for this great website this is awesome stuff. Maybe i couldnt find it yet, but what i especially need is some guided practice sessions to master soloing with rh while comping myself with the left. That would be my input , thanks for reading.

The site seems highly dedicated towards the advanced player and could use some gap filling between the beginner and the more advanced user. Keeping any material like this as musical as possible and not an encyclopedia of chords or scales would be helpful. I could spend a year going through the chord voicings on this site and never play an actual tune. I gravitate towards the musical or in context lessons. Notation with the specific examples is helpful so when you want to back over something you can find it quickly rather than trying to find it in the video. In the guitar department you really need some hollow body courses and not just nylon string since the bulk of jazz is played on a hollow body. That being said I appreciate the incredible care and work that are going into all of your courses. Definitely filling a gap that needs to be filled.

The "Mastering Rhythm" course was so great that I think it deserves a sequel and a three-quel :) There really isn't that much material explicitly on rhythm out there for us "non-drummers." The gems are few and far between. I count "Mastering Rhythm" as one of those pedagogical gems on rhythm. You've got the likes of 13 pro's, including Melissa Aldana and Alexa Tarantino, all giving specific lessons on the art of rhythm and time feel. Once elusive concepts now feel tangible. Looks like you CAN teach rhythm in an intention way! Rhythm is one of the key elements that separates the "amateur sound" from the professional, so buy this course NOW :)

I love the content and the teacher(s). The Piano All Access is a little expensive, which has scared me off from purchasing it. Any lack of progress is on me. the content is excellent.

A well-organized course with a very experienced piano teacher, who gives a lot of valuable informations on how to improve as a piano player in a duo situation.

Once you come here, there really is no need to look further. I PROMISE! I have been studying this music for a long time, and every time I experience "wanderlust" and try something else, I always come back home to Open Studio. Whether you have a personal instructor or coach NOTHING compares to this. Just stop. You have finally found the ONE-STOP SHOP. The price alone does not compare. What you pay here for one month is what you will pay for one lesson for most teachers. Plus all the content here will take you multiple lifetimes to truly acquire. The instructors are WOLRD CLASS!!! Thank you OPEN STUDIO.

I haven't managed to "get into" my purchase yet. I bought it because I needed a course on how to accompany a singer. Also I am a big fan of Adam and Peter and have learned a lot from their podcasts.

The prompt for this review came pretty soon after I started the trumpet course, so it's probably too early to tell, but I'm convinced that Sean Jones is a great trumpeter and effective teacher, based on the first handful of lessons. From what I can see, there are not a lot of tips and tricks or 80/20-style "shortcuts" or extended techniques, but even though I'm skeptical of those things I do like them in principle (basically for rapid improvement and creative possibilities). One thing I'd love is a lesson or two on how the mechanics of the trumpet can be exploited for jazz, like how certain scales (e.g., pentatonics) can be played almost entirely on one valve, or how alternate fingerings can help with tonguing fast phrases. And, to be wildly specific, how can I play like Wadada Leo Smith?! (Or Miles Davis, or Freddie Hubbard, or... Sean Jones?! What stylistic habits make individual trumpeters distinctive and special?)

Outstanding integration of scales, chords, improvisation, performance and presented to the student with the emphasis on what can be achieved with application and practice.

I've purchased three piano masterclasses. All of them were very insipiring and there is enough material for many years of study. 5 stars but there is a little cons regarding the transcriptions: I found out that there are many mistakes in them. Sometimes I would find myself watching the keyboard camera instead of the living notation. Some editing would be much appreciated.

While I am a guitarist, I love Adam and Peter's videos. Enough that I purchased Peter Spraque's course. Working through that and loving it.
