As an amateur learning jazz piano for several+ years, I enjoy improving, new voicing, comping, combo playing, but what I really love is Jazz Theory (a true jazz nerd) OS has inspired me with new paths and ideas to investigate!

Open Studio is a must for aspiring jazz musicians! The course offering is vast, comprehensive and most of all, fun to listen to. You’re never alone in your studies. Guided Practice sessions are fabulous! As a plus, this community is world-class🎶

A lot of good video content decently organized... I love the way Adam Manness does guided practice... makes the material very approachable. I wish there were more paved paths for people trying to get from A to B. And it's a bit expensive.

Too much talking, too much overview, description and not enough actual useful practice ideas, excersises. Takes way to long to get to the point. Too difficult to navigate. Spent way too much time scrolling, downloading before I discovered that the lesson wasn't what I was looking for. Really I was hoping for more practical direction......

Open Studio is really impressive, how professional and well-structured it is. The courses and practical classes are well prepared and very efficient, even for young students, it has all levels. The videos are accompanied by scores and with real video keyboard and virtual keyboard. IIt has everything you need for an excellent understanding and there are no doubts, or if there are there are ways to go back and understand. All lessons and courses have study resources. We couldn't be happier with this course, it's really good, and it's a pleasure to do it, it's never boring, on the contrary it's very exciting. Thanks Open Studio Team.

As an "intermediate" pianist, I took the "harmony games" course, and the material was good, the lessons were interesting, but there was about 15 seconds of video to repeat for each chord change, where they have the rhythm section. I appreciated the sheet music notes and the workbook, but I really wish there was a seperate backing track, even if it was a midi one, just to practice each of the concepts in time with rhythm, ideally in every key. The course moves very fast if you're not already a rather advanced player who picks up new concepts impressively quickly. Having said that; for 27 dollars it was a no brainer.

Great platform but I miss the $27 courses as opposed to subscription. We are overloaded with subscriptions these days, so I only buy stand alone courses/lessons!

I'm note a member. I just have bought several piano courses and I find them georgeus. In this way, I work on them at my own pace. Peter and Adam are the BEST.

This stuff is massively de-cluttering all the nifty bits of music theory, I have collected over twenty years of making music and putting into fun to play along lessons. Thank you very much.
