I have been working in open studio for about a week now and I love it. I'm a bassist and jazz educator, but I can already tell I've improved my piano skills greatly. I've been listening to the You'll Hear It Podcast for a year. 7 stars. Keep up the great work!

Steve Wilson is excellent You’ll Hear It podcasts are a waste of time. Too much un-witty repartee, not enough content. Would like site to make it easier to know what packages (blues, bebop) are about

Great teachers and content! Overall very pleased. Offering a “pay what you can” on a course was very thoughtful and caring. Thank you!! Brian Paul

I can say that the very first day of my trying the bootcamp...jazz piano technique vol 1 was surprised of the fingers development the pentatonic practices access. The elements of solo piano ...also is very inspiring .Even today ,after two weeks I still daily review it, almost entirely. I have no hesitation to recommend them to anybody. Thanks Peter Martin, Adam Maness, Geoffey Keezer.

I was hoping for a more fundamental course in jazz. I think he is teaching to professionalor at least someone who went to music school.

I purchased the Keez to Jazz Piano course for $129. Compared to some of the other competitors in the online Jazz Piano lessons marketplace, I think the price point is on the higher end, but I have been so impressed with the podcast and you tube content that I figured I'd give it a shot. Logistics: I had high expectations for the website and interface, and they were certainly met. The website and course flow is flawless. The living notation is so nice to have and the site is easy to navigate. I found it to be visually appealing as well. 7 stars. Course Material: I was looking for a course which would have some modern flair and advanced ideas that would help take my playing out of the intermediate level and into the advanced. I was pleased with the lessons but the curriculum didn't seem to have a particular rhyme or reason to it, covering a wide range of random topics categorized into core components of music (melody, chords, rhythm) but never touching on the elementary core concepts... again, not a problem, and certainly in line with what i was looking for : Digestible lessons of advanced concepts to help modernize and expand my playing... but that makes me wonder... whats the difference between "Keez to Jazz Piano" and "Advanced Piano Concepts" also by Geoff Keezer? Am i missing more licks and concepts that should have been included in the Keez to Jazz Piano course? would that have been a better course for me? I worry that the ambiguity between the two courses may cause potential students to struggle to commit to one in particular. The concepts in Keez to Jazz Piano certainly seemed advanced to me, so what am i missing that was omitted from this course for the purpose of being included in the Advanced Jazz Piano Concepts course? Conclusion: It pains me to not give the course 7 stars, but I must be true to my ever so slightest dissatisfaction. I would rate my experience at 4/5 stars. Suggestions: There are many moments when Keezer is providing the student with examples of certain rhythmic or melodic concepts, and sometimes these are notated via soundslice, but they are omitted from the workbook. Although you can print the soundslice to pdf, it would still be nice to have some of these included ahead of time. Further, there are other times when he goes into an improvised passage and it isn't even notated. Please spare me with the "use your ears, transcribe it", I did and I have transcribed the lines which resonated with me during these periods of Keezer Shedding at the end of the video, but I cant help but feel like it would at least help to have everything notated ahead of time. I'm very satisfied and I think if I could go back and do it again I would simply purchase the access pass. Thanks for the hard work Peter, Adam, and Geoffery, Open Studio is clearly the forefront leader in online Jazz education.

Very nice courses, that I've been looking for for a while. I'd appreciate to have more fingerings noted down on lead sheets for piano courses, especially for scales. Great stuff however! Bravo! À jazz pianist from eastern France

Hello there! thank you so much for the spanish subtitles Its great! Living notation is a very good idea. In a future I'd love a afro cuban jazz course, it would be wonderful.

I am ecstatic about joining thee Open Studio. After playing piano on and off for more than 40 years (mostly classical and pop). I decided I wanted to learn to play jazz - really well. So I took 3 years of private lessons from a jazz player with a PhD. And enrolled in all the on line jazz courses I could find, but still just wasn’t getting it. Until I joined the open studio. The course content is exactly what I needed. And the presentation of the material and the user interface couldn’t be better. I love the Demo sessions, and am spending hours playing along with Peter. Can’t think of a better way to develop phrasing and articulation. I’ve cancelled all my other subscriptions and am finally starting to think of myself as a real jazz pianist. Thank you guys so much for your work on this great program.
