“Opendoor is absolutely the worst - do not use them to buy or sell - run away from any deal where they are the seller. We had a direct bad experience on a deal we just had to cancel. They put a house on the market overpriced, we had to bid full price to be considered in this market and went into the deal in good faith.. The only thing we asked is that the house appraise to value!. Does Not.... it is 15,000$ over priced. So we are happy to pay the full appraised value..., will they reduce..., will they even counter..., No - nothing. Standing on this 15K$ overpriced amount. No one in their right mind pays waaaay overprice for a house unless its a show place - and this house was nice, but no show place. The appraisal was fair and no comps are showing close to what they asked.. We had to walk away. So for us - this company stinks!! In my opinion, It is not honest, It does not operate in good faith. Run from Open-door. Oh.. and if you were wondering ..the house is in the Brandon,FL area.... and with what Im now reading about this company and similar issues other people are having - I will not even put in an offer to this bunch.”

“The service was outstanding! It was time for me to downsize to something more manageable and I did not want to have to do any repairs, painting or the inconvenience of having to prepare the house for showings. Opendoor was the right answer for me from start to finish it was a process I would not have ever believed, but after going through selling my house to Opendoor, I would recommend them everyone.”

“The entire process of selling my home to Opendoor was extremely simple, straightforward and fair. I was skeptical at first. This isn’t the typical way you would sell your home. Opendoor purchased my home for more than what realtors were telling me they could sell it for. I was extremely pleased with the whole process and would recommend to my friends and family.”

“I found open door based on the freinds recommendation. He use them in another state and was bragging to me about how easy it was to work with them. So I reached out and give a call. Open door came in and gave an honest assessment on the property. They did a speedy review after generating a walk-through video with me. Came back with what I thought was an acceptable offer. I was clear to close sold and bought out in a month from initial contact. I even made a few mistakes in the process. Open door handle them in stride and still achieved my closing date and my move out date. Genuinely I thought it was all too good to be true until I saw the procedure my account. Honestly the shits bananas but it’s true. I recommend it to anybody.”

“just getting started in the sale process. So far Grant has been awesome. I am hoping the rest of the process goes smooth. I have to leaveand be travelling a few days before closing so I hope the title company will work with me on this so there are no delays in closing. If this all goes as smooth as Grant has indicated I will be very impressed! Some friends have indicated bad experiences late in the process and caution me , I hope they are wrong.”

“Nothing less than Outstanding!! with few days left to close on a new construction home, my wife and I made the sudden decision to sell vs our initial plan to rent out the old property. After being a bit hesitant we knew decided to give opendoor a try. Made the application online and in a matter of few hours I was already contacted, scheduled for a video visit, and an external. Within 48 hours I received an offer; which not only was a very competitive offer.”

“In the beginning our contact at Opendoor was very responsive. For the most part that continued even post sale. They offered us a fair price for our home. There were a few glitches around closing that caused me some headache since we were coordinating a simultaneous close (selling to Opendoor and purchasing through a non-Opendoor realtor). I knew Opendoor was goi by to hold $2k in escrow for 2-3 days after closing as a damage deposit. I hadn’t heard anything and knew we’d left our previous house in very good condition. I had to contact Opendoor 10 days later to get the status of the deposit. They pointed me to JetClosing who, despite emails and phone calls, will not respond. Opendoor confirmed that they’ve authorized the release of funds but I can’t get them. It’s been over 2 weeks and I can’t get my money. I’ve contacted Opendoor again and they also don’t respond. I gave 3 stars because I have received most of the funds but this last part is putting a very negative damper on what should have been a better review.”
