“Was nervous on the day of surgery. The op went well even though a little uncomfortable. Afterwards, for about four hours, was like torture it literally felt like someone had replaced my eyes with two hot coals. After this period vision improved and the burning sensation disappeared. Next morning was fine and in the end really glad I had the treatment.”

“My vision is worse than it was when I wore glasses. I feel that Optical Express will continue treating me until my vision is corrected. The treatment I receive is good and I have confidence that my vision will be corrected.”

“Overall it is a bit of a rollercoaster. Quite severe pain after surgery but next day eased completely and on a high with immediate results and no real discomfort. Thereafter, after honeymoon period an little bit of a bump down to earth as further improvements were slow and erratic. Lots of twitching in left eye for first 10 days which has now passed. Halos at night make driving difficult but not impossible.Continued problems with computer screens which I wasn't prepared for.. Overall satisfied with vision today and with care from OE.”

“I have been wearing glasses since I was 7 years old, so I barely remember a life without them. I was nervous about the surgery but the staff were very helpful, informative and reassuring. The surgeon and nursing staff were brilliant. The aftercare service has been great and I feel very well cared for. It has been a life changing experience and I'm really glad I invested in my new eyesight!”

“Overall I am very happy with the treatment and glad I made the decision to have laser eye surgery. I had a little difficulty in the first 7 - 10 days with some double vision as my left eye took a little longer to adjust, however i am now happy with vision and improvement in quality of life. I still have to wear reading glasses for close up work such as reading, however, even close up work is only moderately blurred without glasses (before I had to hold a newspaper a few inches from my eyes in order to read). I was able to return to work within a few days of the surgery which was also important as I am self employed.”

“All the staff I've encountered along the way really made me feel at ease in all the stores I've been to and I'm so happy with the outcome of my vision. The payment plan has really helped and I wouldn't have been able to do it without. I wish I'd been able to have Lasik rather than Lasek but I'd still go back and do it again.”

“Laser eye surgery is one of the best things i have done. Would do it again if i had to. Would definatly reccomend anyone i know to have it done. Staff have always been friendly and given excellent care from consulation to surgery to aftercare. Its amazing how well i can see.”

“Exceeded expectations: my vision is amazing and I cannot imagine my life as it was. The staff and surgeons were fantastic and the procedure was quicker and much less painless (if any at all) than expected! The after care has also been amazing and I would recommend the procedure and optical express to anyone.”

“All details were explained clearly from the start. I came in with a request for possible laser treatment and left convinced that intra ocular lens replacement was the best for me. I am now sure that the advice was correct and am extremely happy to have followed this advice. The surgery was abolutely painless and fast and I had no discomfort whatsoever afterwards. The use of the plastic cover and drops was explained carefully to me and easy to follow. The staff from reception through to the clinics and operating room both in Bristol and Cardiff have been helpfull, cheerfull and professional at every stage. To date it has been a pleasure to attend and be part of Optical Express.”
