“I booked in for a free initial consultation and was happy to go ahead with treatment after the staff answered all of my questions openly. On the day of surgery I was welcomed into the clinic and given a lot of reassurance. The surgeon took his time with me and made sure I was still comfortable with what was going to be done. Despite one of my eyes needing multiple attempts to apply the laser treatment to, the treatment was a success. Both eyes were a bit sore and heavy afterwards for a day or so, but vision was quick to return to what it was like with glasses prior to treatment. I now have better than 20/20 vision and feel 10 years younger! Due to mild dry eye symptoms, I still need to apply eyedrops two or three times a day, but seems to be decreasing over time.”

“I had laser eye surgery to correct my short-sightedness on 11 November 2011 at the age of 33. It cost me about ?1700, as cost is dependent on how poor your eyesight is, and my right eye was a pretty low -8. The staff at the Cabot Centre in Bristol were very professional, and I felt in very safe hands. I was quite nervous while waiting, as it was a weekday and sadly no-one was able to accompany me, but the procedure was very quick and painless. It literally only took 10 minutes from the moment I lay down to the moment I got up. It was a very odd thing to go through, and I was worried about moving my eyes, but I concentrated on looking straight above me and it was fine :) The surgeon was very nice and reassuring throughout. I could already see pretty well when I got up off the operating table, and I was able to take the bus home afterwards. As the surgery happened just after 11am, I spent the rest of the day in bed. It was pretty uncomfortable, and I had to refrain from scratching my eyes, which felt like they had sand in them, but there was no pain. The next-day check revealed that I already had 20/20 vision despite still being fairly blurry! Wearing sunglasses out for the next week was a bit odd, as was sleeping with goggles on, but it was soon over. I haven't had any problems since, and I'm so glad I did it. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to get rid of their glasses (I sponsored a friend and she loved it too). It's not as expensive as you think, and it's so worth it! And like many others, I do wish I'd done it sooner! :)”

“Start to finish I have been pleasantly surprised with my experiance of laser eye surgery and post op care. I have not experienced any pain throughout and my vision is better than i could have expected. I have recommended it to friends and thought the procedure was like magic. Very satified!”

“This was the best decision I have ever made. I feel so much confident in myself now and its great not to have the hassle of glasses or contact lenses. Although I still have difficulty with my night vision, I am confident that this will heal in time. All the staff here are so friendly and helpful. They don't make you feel bad when you ask questions, and they answer every question you have in a very friendly manner. I would recommend Optical Express to all of my friends and family.”

“The whole experience was much less traumatic than expected - I think a visit to the dentist is actually more invasive The only negative I would say regarding the surgery was losing most of my eye-lashes when the sheet was pulled away from my eyes - but they are starting to grow back now”

“Great! The surgery was quicker and easier than expected, same goes for recovery. I have always needed to wear glasses, now I can go swimming and wear sunglasses and see perfectly unlike before.”

“My greatest concern was not to be offered or bundled into makeing a poor decision on what procedure would be best for me...all comercial outfits want your custom and in there haste to bag you they push you into a poor move..to my releif I found the guidance considred, and felt informed..ans so was able to make the decision with reasonable confidence, The out come has been one of near complete satisfaction , and as the healing process continues I hope to acheive complete ease and comfort.”

“The whole experience has been handled very professionally by all Optical Express personel and all the questions I had were answered. The only problem I encountered was an hour after the original surgery for the next 2 hours the pain was extreme (more so than I thought). However, after that period the pain eased and I have had no problems since.”

“I had my eyes done on 08 Aug 2008 and it was the best thing I have ever done. Only a person who wears lenses or glasses could understand the real difference. To get up in the middle of the night and see ! Not to find lenses all gone hard at the side of the bed where you have missed the contact lens pots. No more eye infections, tired or itchy eyes. To jump in the pool and go swimming. I still rave about the convenience. From beginning to end it was so easy. No pain at all. I could see within hours. And even better still I have recommended friends and family. They have received their lives back and I have been paid for it with the referral scheme. Optical Express were amazing and Laser Surgery was and is still the best money I have ever spent !”
