“I have long considered laser surgery and was well aware that I would swap the ability to read without glasses with the ability to see distance without glasses. The process that I have gone through with optical Express has been friendly and clearly explained, as have the likely outcomes but I am dissapointed that my distance vision isn't as good as it was with glasses. I am told I still have better than 20 20 vision, which may be correct, but its still not as good as I had hoped it would be. On balance, I would get it done again if I could go back in time, as the pleasure of not wearing glasses whilst doing many activities is tremendous.”

“I feel that this enhancement surgery was a lot more painful than i expected, it also envolved a lot more recovery time than expected and if i had known this before i would not have gone through with it. I am however very pleased with the results as i no longer am needing to wear glasses.”

“surgery was dealt with professionally, all staff very helpful, procedure for right eye was painless and took very little time, surgery for left eye took longer and was slightly uncomfortable. post surgery left eye has been "sticky" and sometimes dry, artificial light does affect vision when reading documents, newspapers etc, no problems with PC work; reading text on TV; blackberry or ipod; night driving vision has improved although still see halo's round brake lights etc, no longer have problems with oncoming headlights no other asdverse effect and more than pleased with the outcome”

“Having had my lens replacement in June and July of 2012 I can only say that my eyesight is now perfect and wish that I had this procedure done long ago. I have now got rid of my distance, computer and reading glasses all in one go. Definitely recommend getting this done as this is now the eyesight I will have for the rest of my life.”

“I had Lasek surgery, this had a longer recovery time than the other Lasik. After the surgery my eyes were sore and sensitive to light for a day or so. However the drops that I was given provided sufficient relief from this, over the course of the next week I noticed my eyesight getting better and better each day. Now 4 weeks after the surgery my vision is almost perfect and so much better than when I had to wear contact lenses. I am happy with the end results of my surgery.”

“Fixing and driving Tanks is no place for a speccie was always loosing and breaking glasses.just not for me. I maybe had the op before i really needed it but i don't regret it. Was worried i would trade great long distance sight for close up work ,But no,i ended up with both. Cheers”

“Even though i have a little ghosting...it's only been one month!so far i am very happy that i had th. Excellent service with all round care from the front line staff in the shop to the consultant...the aftercare is also commendable!! Well done optical express !!”

“Was immediately blown away by the results when I woke up 6 hours after surgery, the sharpness of vision was immaculate. Still have some halo effect I hope will diminish over time, much preferable to contact lenses and glasses comfort wise.”

“I would reccomend anyone to have this operation, it has changed my life to the extent of not having to change glasses costantly at work and at home, the only time I may have to wear glasses is to do very close work. I would not go back to the way things were, even though I still get the glare at night.”

“I hadn't met anyone who had had RLE so it was a bit daunting going in to Edinburgh for the treatments. The staff there were very attentive; when waiting for the treatment I spoke to a fellow patient-he put me at ease. All very quick and painfree. I am told healing time/vision adjustment varies from one person to another. My vision is nearly as it was with specs but I have problems with intermediate distances. I am told I need time to adjust but it should come good. So far I have no regrets.”

“This is the best decision I have made, I still cannot believe I can see normally wiithout the aid of glasses of any type. The operation was quick and painless, Dr David Teenan was very professional and took the time to speak to me prior to each eye operation and put me at ease. Everyone at the clinic was so friendly, patient and supportive especially as I was extremely nervous. The aftercare is excellent, at all the Optical Express shops. I would have no hesitation to recommend this operation to anyone who wears glasses. I would like to say a big thank you to David Teenan, Derrick in Edinburgh, Jennifer from Kirkcaldy and all the staff involved in my care”

“I would really recommend Optical Express to anybody that is hoping to get laser eye surgery done. I was made comfortable from the moment I thought about getting it done. The staff, in store and over the phone, were very helpful. Even when I panicked over silly things they would reassure me and would book in an appointment to ensure that everything was OK and there was nothing to worry about. I felt I was in very safe hands and today I can say that I am truly glad that I have had the laser eye surgery done and moreover I am glad that I chose Optical Express to get it done through.”

“Having gone through a lot of thinking, consultations and checks...pushed myself to lay on the table and have my eyes lasered...15mins of discomfort....4hrs of restful sleeping to 20/20 vision 24hrs later...its a no brained...very happy and looking forward to you future and many advetures!!
