“results are fantastic and the improvement in my quality of life is much better than expected. I can enjoy my hobby (golf) in all weather without having to worry about glasses all the while. I cannot believe anyone, who would be suitable for treatment, would hesitate to get it done. Great service form the team at the Birmingham clinic too.”

“The laser eye surgery removed my need for glases which is a big plus for me as having to use them was a hindrance. I found the procedure difficult because I was nervous about my eyes and I probably could have done with a valium or something similar to calm me down before the procedure.”

“Life changing and I wish I had done it sooner! Ability to rely on and call or contact staff in store at any time is very comforting and keeps the whole experience relaxed and informal. Very pleased with the outcome. Will be recommending OE to others.”

“Every appointment have been greeted by a friendly member of staff. All questions have been answered and never felt silly if the question seemed daft. Communication throughout the past 4 weeks has been great. Being reminded of my appointment has helped. Quality has always been to a high standard and I would thoroughly recommend Optical Express to a friend or family member.”

“I was so nervous and apprehensive about laser eye surgery, i read all the horror stories, as well as all the good stories. But i was so fed up with contact lenses and glasses that i just had to go for a consultation. Optical express were so reassuring and asked my mountain of questions. On the day of my surgery i was terrified but a lovely lady who worked on the desk came and held my hand as i was in such a state. I could see the surgery working throughout the surgery, the laser turned from a blurry blob to a clear pin point! Afterwards i quite literally sat up and could see everything, even the clock on the other side of the room!! Less than 24 hours later, at my 24hour checkup, i was told the surgery had given me 20/12 vision!!! basically the best physical possible outcome!!! 6 months on and i still have that vision and have been discharged, which means eye tests every two years. so happy. seeing the difference fro the letters n the eye test board from what i couldn't see before to no being able t see the smallest line the opticians have (!!) is AMAZING!! Thank you Optical Express for giving the the most amazing gift of perfect sight!”

“I'm very happy with my experience now however, it took a long time for my eyes to have good vision as I'm long sighted and no one warned me it wouldn't be perfect straight away. This information would not have put me off surgery but it would have helped to be aware. I'm very happy now though.”

“The care provided by optical express was very good. I have been very happy with the surgery I have had and thought the price was also reasonable. Having no glasses now has made me feel much more confident about the way I look. Having the surgery done was a little difficult for me because I'm very jumpy about anyone going near my eyes, but the staff were very reassuring, and even though it was difficult I would still do it again because the outcome was worth it.”

“My experience has been positive. In retrospect, I would have liked to be told some details of the operations that scared me a little while I was under, namely the big pressure on the eye bulbs at the start of the operation, which hurt quite a lot, and the smell of burnt: I wasn't expecting either and I wasn't sure whether that was normal, but I was told not to speak or move. Other than that, my eyes are perfect and I'm glad I got over being squeamish about fiddling with my eyes and did the operation”

“I hated wearing my glasses and it really restricted many of the things I wanted to do, like swimming and wearing really nice sunglasses. I can now do all those things and more. Optical Express have really looked after me from beginning (where the nurse held my hand during the surgery where I was so scared - and should not have been I hasten to add) to the end. The surgery was pain free and life changing and I would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone who is considering this in the future. Go for it!!”

“The team have been excellent throughout, alleviating my concerns and explaining everything. By making the surgery feel almost 'routine' they helped me relax and make the decision to go ahead. While the hours after surgery are uncomfortable, I would definitely recommend it to friends and wish I'd done it years ago!”

“Everything went very well and staff were always prompt, friendly and professional. Only negative was the intense discomfort for 3 hours post surgery. I was extremely distressed due to the pain and anaesthetic drops post surgery would have significantly altered my overall experience. However, vision is excellent and very happy. The 'blink' drops only last about a week if used as recommended - would be useful to be given a couple of bottles if longer period between check ups.”

“As above, friendly staff, good standard of care. Expert help and vrey impressed with results. Only issue is the wait sometimes for appointments. For one appointment I had to wait 1hr 30 minutes, which then costs more with car parking etc.”
