About Outback Equipment:

Outback Equipment was born from a couple of mates with a big idea and an even bigger love for the outdoors. What started in the back of a garage quickly moved to a warehouse corner and now, over 10 years later, we’re running our own full-scale warehouse and showroom storefront in Acacia Ridge, Brisbane.

We kicked off with a fascination for light bars, but it didn’t take long to realise there was a lot more gear to get excited about. Outback Equipment has since grown into one of the largest online ranges of 4x4, camping, marine, and caravanning accessories in Australia. Driven by our customers’ passion for exploring the great outdoors, we’ve expanded our space, our range, and our mission.

Unfortunately our experience was not good ! Wrong product sent but had to return it at our expense and no responsibility taken by them then had to chase up that they had received the return after a week of it being received by them Very poor service ECT. Unfortunately would not use again or recommend!

Definitely will not be purchasing off these guys again. Why ? I made an error while purchasing an item, once paid I realised instantly and called the help line only to be told bad luck. Not help what so ever. 😕

Sorry, but a very poor experience, on two fronts. Firstly, a staff member took my order over the phone, knowing that you didn't have the item in stock, and then I got an email a day or so later to say that the supplier was out of stock and the product was going to be a month away. Of course, I cancelled the order and got it from elsewhere within days. The second issue I have is using Aramex as your delivery company. It doesn't matter who I order from, but when Aramex is involved, it's always going to be late, without fail! I did have another item on order with you and the tracking system told me that it was at Aramex's Brisbane depot (I'm in Brisbane). It sat there for days until I jumped up and down to get it delivered.I know you can't control this, but it reflects badly on you and I have to think twice about whether I order something from you for this reason.

The pump I purchased is not the same as the one on the website, nor does it have the right connection for my boat. I want to return in. Regards Craig Dartnell 0418612203

Outback need to be more upfront regarding whether an item is in stock or not, apparently it’s up to the purchaser to ask, When I’m paying express postage I expect my purchase to be sent quickly Communication was prompt but they never came back with a delivery time as they said they would in emails Personally I will use a different supplier in future

I ordered my item on the 25/7 and I expect it will be delivered on the 13/9. Before I ordered the item I receive contradictory advice about whether or not it was in stock and whether or not it would be delivered before I went away. Item arrived in time but was the wrong type. Went through the 3rd degree to establish the item was wrong. I did not receive an apology and was sent courier details to send it back. I tried to contact someone to negotiate buying the wrong item so that the correct one would be delivered ASAP. I went through 4 different people and was told the item was not in stock and needed to be delivered in. I purchase the wrong item to get the ball rolling. It took over a week before the stock arrived in Qld and then forwarded on to me. It felt like there was no urgency in getting the right goods to me and I say again, no apology. I wanted to contact someone in charge but there was no contact details. Not happy Jan.

If you write something bad it doesn't go through. So I had the most amazing experience of being delivered the wrong UHF radios and having to pay blokes who didn't know where they were or what they were doing. For 2 weeks. Because that's how long it takes to send a wrong item back and get a replacement if you live 85km from town. Great job guys!

Tow bar wouldn't fit vehicle & you sent enquiry to manufacturer but 2 weeks on have not heard anything If you are unable to provide a tow bar to fit that I have paid for then I would like a refund so I can purchase a suitable one from another retailer

Placed an order of 5 items on the 6th, didn't get any feed back thinking they would be delivered in a few days. Sent an email on the 8th inquiring about my order and was told some things on back order and would arive on 16th. Heard nothing by the 19th so sent another email, no reply by 20th so I called to find out what was happening. Was told some items would not be in stock till the end of the month.

The disappointment began with your 7% offer in the Afterpay email I was ready to purchase only to find my direct payment did not receive a discount So I went to a local store down didn’t pay freight and saw exactly what I wanted without bait promotions May now block all of your marketing Poor wording by your team

I had to chase up why product wasn’t delivered 3 weeks after order only to be told no stock. Was offered 1 black and 1 silver item. Asked for a refund and the refund took 3 weeks to reach my account. Very poor service!!

Unfortunately the parcel sent out for delivery with my item was very poorly packaged. It arrived with the package open and parts missing - presumably in transit. I asked for the replacement unti to be held for collection but it was posted to my home address after we had left for a 4 month round Australia trip. Very poor service.

Order to way to long to be delivered. I won't purchase again unless it's in store. The bag I bought has already ripped. I'm not even going to bother with emails and waiting two months for a replacement.

Was promised delivery within 1 week after 6 working days I rang and follwed up to be told everything was in stock except the filler. I then waited another 3 working days and followed up again now to be told the filler was in but the tank went to someone else. I then got a refund on my credit card and had to drive in and pick up the rest of the gear I was never refunded my freight that I prepaid and I had to purchase another tank drive to tringalpa and I found Amy's attitude frustrating she didn't care and kept refering to her company policy. Many things could have been done but if I waited for outback equipment I would not have made my trip even though I purchased weeks prior im not happy and your company still owes me the freight!!!!
