About Outback Equipment:

Outback Equipment was born from a couple of mates with a big idea and an even bigger love for the outdoors. What started in the back of a garage quickly moved to a warehouse corner and now, over 10 years later, we’re running our own full-scale warehouse and showroom storefront in Acacia Ridge, Brisbane.

We kicked off with a fascination for light bars, but it didn’t take long to realise there was a lot more gear to get excited about. Outback Equipment has since grown into one of the largest online ranges of 4x4, camping, marine, and caravanning accessories in Australia. Driven by our customers’ passion for exploring the great outdoors, we’ve expanded our space, our range, and our mission.

Outback equipment has been very helpful. We did have a warranty issue and they were very helpful and got the matter resolved.

Product showed up on time and all worked for the purposes I required but was disappointed when I found both the switches on the lights I bought were broken. Only needed one for the job I was doing so wasn’t perturbed about the first one but had to dummy up the second one to make setup work as I needed to use it that day, the products were rotating amber beacons used to safely pilot a tractor slashing roadsides, dangerous situation when there’s road trains buzzing past at 110 kph

Good gear - just was a bit disappointed that I had to follow up after 4 days to find the order was oversold and still waiting. Understand that this happens but an earlier email to say as much and offer a choice to cancel would have been good

It was OK, but I had looked at a product on the website and then I was flooded with social media reminders courtesy of AdWords. I eventually decided to purchase now rather than later but you had no stock. It would be good if the hassling was reserved for products in stock. I am pretty sure that delivery was by Australia Post, but your website would allow me to direct the package to our PO Box. Fortunately, we were home when the postie arrived and we didn't have to risk theft from the apartment foyer.

2 disappointments. 1. There was only 1 mirror. I expected 2. And 2, the mirror is not manually adjustable. A basic requirement.

Ordered 3 items (privacy screen for a caravan) on 20/4/22. Delivered 3 weeks later missing one of the screens. Emailed to let them know and I’m still waiting for the screen over 3 weeks later again. Doesn’t sound like a long tome but in this day and age, it feels like a long time for a delivery. Much longer than the estimated delivery time I was given at purchase. Staff has been fairly helpful so far.

The drink container is great but had to wait about an hour at the office for the staff to get it to me as it was lost in warehouse

Customer service is spot on but the delivery times is far beyond ridiculous!! I’ve placed two orders in the last 6 months and both orders have taken 6 weeks to arrive and only after I have called have they shown up a few days later

I know it is not your fault the goods ordered on 6th April 2022 under Invoice N501956 and despatched on 8th April 2022 via Aramex to Perth, are yet to be delivered. I think you should change your transport company as the delay is unacceptable even with Covid affecting all manner of things. I have tried to contact Aramex and this is impossible except via the tracking Number or by their messaging system. They have apologized but are unable to advise a delivery date. Your staff is trying to help track the whereabouts of the goods but I understand you have trouble talking to Aramex. I do need the goods urgently as am scheduled to make a trip in our van shortly. Thanks for any help you can provide. regards John Willis

Plenty of items to pick from and prices seem reasonable. Delivery times usually seem longer than I would expect. Once I got an incorrect item delivered and this coupled with the long delivery times and clunky return process meant I had to use a less suitable sealant sourced elsewhere.

My order sat on the Auspost tracking system as "unconfirmed" for several days. I ring and get some rubbish about being on a manifest. Few days later the same. I ring again and suggest it hasn't been sent at all. Few minutes later it has a tracking event! What a coincidence? The product is fine but the despatch service is terrible.

I have been waiting 5 weeks for my order enquired twice about the delivery but haven't heard anything. The delivery company you use is useless. They lost a item I had purchased from an other company. There customer service and delivery is useless. Wouldn't be surprised if this order is lost to. Regards Trevor
