“I bought one of their awnings: Outdoor Revolution Movelite Cayman Tail Drive-Away Awning. The awning itself seems fine (used for only 4 nights so far).
However, it came with a card and instructions to register it for warranty purposes. That's when the "fun" began. It is not on their drop-down list on the registration page, and there is no way of adding a product that isn't listed.
So I phoned. The person who took the phone call refused to register it on the grounds that it had glass fibre poles and wasn't an air frame version. She could not answer the questions of how I was to register the warranty or what the point was of including documentation with the awning telling me that I needed to register it if they were not prepared to do so.
In the long run, it's not a big deal because my contract is with the vendor, who will be liable if the awning turns out to be not up to scratch, but I think this is a poor attitude from Outdoor Revolution.”
