“Frustrating Experience with Paddle – Not Suitable for New SaaS Launches
I integrated Paddle as the payment provider for my SaaS product and developed the entire system using their sandbox environment. Everything worked fine—until I tried to move to production.
At that point, Paddle demanded three months' worth of transaction history from my website. That makes no sense. The whole point of integrating Paddle was to handle transactions — but my product hasn’t launched yet, so how could I possibly have any?
This requirement completely blocks new SaaS companies from using their platform at launch. It’s counterintuitive and a waste of time for developers trying to build something from scratch.
If you're a new SaaS business, I strongly recommend avoiding Paddle. Their approval process is not startup-friendly.”
“Fraudulently charged me for services I never signed up, and then refuses a refund. When reaching out to them on what they’re charged me for, there is no response. They act like they’re a legitimate business but they’re also fraudulently charging people at the same time.”
“Declined our software project which is a simple image generation tool due to classing it as advertising and marketing?! Will stick to stripe in future. The list of disallowed types of business does not match ours even remotely. Now we have to pay developers to convert to stripe. We were initially going to use stripe but decided on paddle for their tax feature but it's not worth it. Also read a lot of reviews since where they look to have withheld funds for 180 days so maybe we got off lightly.”

However, your query has been passed to the developer of the product for further comment.” I don’t understand how this is possible when they charged me for a subscription I don’t have.
