I had an absolutely horrible experience with PayPal. I run a handyman company and sometimes accept payments through invoices connected to PayPal. A customer paid me, and three months later PayPal suddenly took $500 back, claiming the customer disputed the transaction. I provided every proof and screenshot showing the customer paid, was happy with our work, and that this was a clear scam. PayPal’s response? They don’t care. “The customer is always right.” This is absurd. We did the job, we purchased the materials, and got scammed — and PayPal sided with the scammer. I’ve deleted this awful service. PayPal is a horrible organization.

I was charged for 2 duplicate items even though I only ordered one, only one item was delivered, I put in a dispute with PayPal and they found in the seller’s favour. I then took it to appeal and they found in seller’s favour again. I am £40 out of pocket through no fault of my own. I thought PayPal were supposed to help me?

We are disappointed to see that reserves are still being applied to our account due to three disputes in July and August, which is relatively low, especially considering all disputes were resolved in our favor. We have maintained a long-standing relationship with PayPal (10 years) and it is disheartening to feel that business customers like us are not being supported as effectively as consumers. Payal team members are also extremely unsupportive and confrontational, where one described myself as having ‘Mental Health’ issues, for simply being upset, regarding the lack of support. I still have not received this recording, which has been requested on multiple occasions from Paypal. Despite numerous calls and messages, these reserves continue to be applied, and the associated fees remain higher than other payment providers. We have also found that consumers are also not using Paypal as much and tend to prefer paying by debit./credit card. Unfortunately, given the ongoing reserves, high transaction premiums and charges, and lack of access to general support, we have made the decision to remove PayPal as a payment option for our customers.

Merchants beware: if PayPal fails, you pay the price. PayPal charges you for their own mistakes !!! Here’s what happened with a €3,900 transaction: Buyer pays €3,900. PayPal instantly takes €132.95 in fees, leaving me €3,767.05. Buyer needs to update their shipping address. PayPal’s system does not allow to show an address update change after payment... The buyer contacted support, and PayPal themselves told the buyer the only option was for me to issue a full refund so the buyer could reorder. So I refunded the full €3,900. The buyer got their money back but PayPal kept the €132.95 fee. The result? I lost €132.95 for a transaction that never went through, not because of fraud, not because of my error, but because PayPal’s own system cannot handle a basic shipping update. This feels like abuse and borderline scam. Fees should only be non-refundable once a transaction is actually completed, not when it’s forced to be cancelled because of PayPal’s own limitation.

The service is very convenient, but their customer service is deplorable!!! All I wanted was help with a charge that I canceled, but I could not get help and had to cancel my account instead.

They can hold your money for 3 weeks if a new seller. Why not go to Western Union and get the money in an hour?? Don't waste your time.

Ordered via Wayfair. Wayfair has no documentation to support I placed an order. Called pay pal. Item was sent to the wrong address, they have this big refund policy being explained by someone who has a thick accent. After being told I had to jump through hoops and I pushed back I believe I got a refund. Not expecting the item but have no clue if thats coming or not since it was shipped and sent to the wrong address. Oh and the item was coming from overseas, not disclosed and no expected delivery date- I expected to see shipping information from the order confirmation but I never got one. This whole thing has been a PITA and I still have to go buy a vacuum

After my withdrawal request was denied, I couldn’t access my trading account. I felt frustrated and anxious, afraid I might lose my investment. Sadly, I know many others face similar issues, which can seriously damage trust in trading platforms. Thankfully, Mrs. Mercy and her team stepped in and guided me through the process. With their help, I was able to recover my funds.
