Worst customer service ever

I had an unfortunate event occur recently. I had a fraudulent charge on my PayPal account. I was very stressed about it, but the customer service representative Paula was amazing at resolving my issue and getting my money reimbursed quickly. I felt taken care of and thankful she understood my situation and worked quickly to make it right. She was sympathetic and spoke kindly to me. That made all the difference in my experience. I appreciate the great customer service I received from Paula. So much so that I decided not to close my PayPal account. 🙏

1) bought online from target.com with total $144 2) during checking out, applied $20 Paypal credit from my account; from screen I was told this was successful 3) final result: $144 applied from my credit card, but the $20 credit disappeared from my account. 4) contacted Paypal customer service, with proof of the $20 credit, their review result is: target.com did not overcharge me. So case closed. 5) went back to paypal customer service, saying I never said Target.com overcharged me. The issue was that paypal took my $20 credit but did not apply to that transaction, and the $20 has gone forever. 6) no responses from Paypal thereafter.

PayPal User read this; I have had PayPal for a couple years without issues but recently that has changed. I have noticed missing money from my debit card that was linked but I never could say forsure. Anyway I had $30 sent to me and then requested back (yes as crazy as that sounds PayPal does that, they also will draw money off of a linked card if a charge is made to your account that doesn't have the funds to cover it), and my account did not show for the $30 back they took when a deposit was made to my account. So I called and PayPal acted as if they didn't know what I was talking about, until I got heated. Then they admitted it. So i tried to unlink my cards and I couldn't so I called and had them unlinked. So for doing this my account was limited. All 4 accounts I have businesses pay me money from work through. But I had closed 2 of these accounts and was trying to limit my use of PayPal and go to direct deposit with as many companies as I could. I literally get paid from dozens of companies ranging from a few dollars to maybe a few thousand at a time. I received an email the 12th of December from PayPal stating $321 had been sent from a company in Ohio (Alta 360) , which I worked for, for over a year. And to claim my money I needed to click the link in the email, which was an account I had closed some days prior. So I did so and nothing, I have called several times and messaged. Then yesterday, I was told I needed to link a card first to get my money, and after several attempts and calls over a several day period to do so, without it linking, or saying the card was linked to another account (which it was not) . I finally got it linked and now PayPal says they don't know about $321 dollars and asked for a screenshot of email, so I sent them a screenshot of email . Now they say they need transaction ID after days of me calling and messaging saying they need something else and after I produce what was previously asked. Now they also say they didn't send an email ? Well I'll call Alta 360 tomorrow and get that. I also told them they need to be sued which probably didn't help but is true. PayPal isn't what it used to be a year ago, it really has went downhill and customer service has no answers to your questions or gives you the runaround. I am definitely switching everything over to direct deposit or I may not work for that company anymore. Let this be a warning for you PayPal users.

Easy transactions when paying or transferring money. Also their pay in three option is a very good idea.

had a significant refund from a retailer to PayPal which shows as received, so far so good, but PayPal hasn’t passed it back onto my bank, despite my PayPal account balance showing straight 0. Is the money in the abyss of some murky operations? The PayPal help centre gives non-sensical answers. UNSAVE AND UNREASSURING in my personal opinion

I am now in my 2nd dispute with a bogus seller in 14 months. All paypal cars about is a legitimate tracking number. If you order and pay for an automobile, but receive a toy carm that is fine with them. If you order artwork and receive a toothpick, also fine with them. So not only do you lose your money, the willingly continue to work with unethical companies, insisting you file a complaint with the government to get money back. You are much better off without paypal, going through visa, discover, master card instead. I have been with paypal close to 20 years. After they denied my obvious fraud claim last year i cancelled my paypal credit card but kept acct. Same thing is happening again, i will be closing my acct. There is no protection. It's a gamble. Make sure you purchase from reputable websites!

Very disappointed with Paypal. I opened a dispute and, they filed to refund me the full amount despite a claim being opened for the full amount. Management refused to send me a confirmation email to prove an investigation would take place. It wasn't until i challenged them that they agreed. Very unprofessional and dodgy! I am willing to take legal action if they fail to refund me the full amount.

Avoid using Paypal at all costs. Even when a merchant has issued you a full refund, they will keep your money like they did to me. Prior to that all i got was " refund denied " repeatedly even though the merchant had issued a refund for faulty merchandise with no issues at all. Paypal make constant excuses and will keep your money. Since Elon Musk sold it, Paypal is a pay scam. Use your credit card instead, then you at least have some support. Better yet, where possible buy local and completely avoid giant multi national scammers like Paypal are as you will find out if you ever need a refund from these legalized con merchants. AVOID AT ALL COST!!!

PayPal are worst company going, back in 2012 they froze my account then if that was not bad enough they froze my husbands my daughter. When I tried to sort things out all what they did was say they could not let me have any second chance, their answer was to get your friends to use their PayPal account, so what I did then about year or so later they froze their account. So my friend fell out with me because of this. I am so happy that EBay have the sense to change to manage payment, but it is PayPay. For buying postage labels. I try to do this because it work out so much cheaper but unfortunately I can not buy them because I have no PayPal, I use pack link that a good alternative, but does not always work, so then I have pay higher prices. I would be glad if PayPal went out of business. They have caused me so much grief over the years.

They hold your money 21 days Here is their answer. The service was made on September 14th and they will release the money 21 days after, that is crazy and put me in a very bad position. Je peux confirmer que l'argent a atteint votre compte PayPal et est disponible dans votre solde mais ne sera pas débloqué pour un retrait avant le 5 octobre à moins que dans le cadre de notre processus que le suivi valide soit fourni

Completely untrustful company There were numerous problems yesterday when I tried to transfer money from my own bank account to PayPal. Paypal asked a dozen times for SMS, email and other verifications. I verified myself and transfers several times with bank IDs. After making the SEPA transfer from the bank account to PayPal, the money left the account but did not appear in PayPal. After several hours, I got in touch with a chat service where the issue didn’t work out. I was then called from PayPal (English only, no service available in my own language) and again asked for multiple verifications (account number, SMS verification and personal information), despite PayPal calling me. Paypal said there is a security risk when a customer with their bank IDs transfers money from their own bank account to the PayPal service and they need to verify the correctness of the transfer (despite the bank identification). PayPal claims the problem was with the Chrome browser I was using (?). Finally, today the money appeared in my PayPal account. PayPal is displayed as the payer of the money, so PayPal has taken over the money for the duration of the check. I do not understand the nature of the check because I paid the money with my bank ID from my bank account to my PayPal account. Today I tried to pay for a purchase in an online store (Proshop.com). Payment for the purchase was suspended 21 times. I received an SMS verification request 11 times, 2 times I was asked to change my password and despite that the payment was not successful. Each time there was a message "We are unable to complete your purchase right now, return to the merchant page and try again" After 48 minutes and more than 20 attempts, I tried to contact the chat service. The chat service did not work at all. I called PayPal. Again, service in English only. PayPal explained that again there is a security risk and payment cannot be made. Said I could try to pay again after 72 hours. According to PayPal, they can’t say where the fault is, they just explained that it’s a security risk. No need to explain that no transaction waits 72 hours for a pending payment transaction (ProShop waits 10 minutes) The product was not purchased. Now I tried to transfer money from PayPal back to my bank account without success. PayPal's statement: "There was a problem. We weren't able to transfer the money to the bank right now." I am now unable to transfer my own money from my PayPal account to my own bank account. The account is the same from which I transferred the money to PayPal. PayPal now has over € 1,000 of money stuck, and there is no information on when they can be transferred back to my own bank account. PayPal is a completely invalid system. Transferring money from your own bank account with bank IDs is a "security risk", paying for purchases in a large online store is not possible because it is a security risk, and your own money cannot be transferred back to your own bank account. As of this writing I am not yet back with my money and do not know when I will receive it I strongly advise you to avoid using PayPal.

Laura ID: 167162 gave me horrible service. I received an email saying that someone in Georgia was using my account, and I live in Houston, Tx. I have not used my in over 10 years so the phone number and address was not up to date. When I tried calling to change my password they told me I needed to give a correct address, I offered my drivers license and social security but that was useless. I eventually was able to go through my emails and find the address where I then closed my account. This is ridiculous all I wanted was to make sure my account was safe from fraud but I went through a horrible experience. I would never use this site again, I am very disappointed in this service. You need to find a better way of identifying your users and blocking the hackers. It’s easier for hackers to access the account, than for users.

paypal not secure I am very happy that I suspended my bank account linked to my PayPal account in this tragic way, which is to cancel my card and my bank account through the bank, I am not afraid of the hacker anymore. Unfortunately, this was the final solution after PayPal failed to solve the problem. Thank to the hacker who taught me a good lesson, which is that PayPal can be hacked and there are no quick and radical solutions for me to recover my account.

I purchased an item which was advertised on facebook - 2 kitchen storage units for nearly $64 AUD. I didn't receive anything from the seller. I however in the meantime received two cheap children utensil gift packs in the meantime in the mail. I raised the dispute with Paypal and the resolution team favoured the seller saying the product was delivered The seller even provided them the photo of the cheap four utensils as the product. What pay pal said they saw on tracking from seller the status delivered hence closed the case. But could the paypal resolution team not see on the invoice clearly the payment was for 2 kitchen storage units.??? I think i was scammed by the seller where they gave facebook advt and then made me pay for $64 for the storage units and then delivered me cheap utensils not worth more than $5. This way they can fool the Paypal integrity check system as the tracking system would show item delivered and Paypal would conveniently close the case. I checked the seller's website it is closed too and shows 404 error So I guess the seller carried a systemic fraud by understanding the Paypal resolution mechanism and used in his favour. In this instance I was a victim of scam (and I am sure there would have been others like me as well as that advt ran on facebook for a few days) and both seller an Paypal profited from it. Very disappointed. Thankfully it was only $64 that I got scammed off. So please be careful, just don't think making Payments via PayPal will lessen your exposure to scammers.
