“The front piece is too big although I have the right girth measurements”

Thank you for your feedback, Katherine. We're sorry to hear that the front section of your harness is too large. We can certainly exchange this for you. Keep everything that you have for the moment. We can send you out some alternative pieces to try, free of charge. We just ask that you send us back any unwanted items once you are happy with the fit. In the meantime, please do not use the harness as the pieces need to be in resalable condition to be exchanged. “I have three dogs who range in size - cockapoo, goldendoodle and bernedoodle - who all wear Perfect Fit harnesses and have done since being puppies. Because the pieces come separately, as my dogs have grown I have simply replaced each piece as necessary. They are comfortable, fully adjustable and come in many colours! I also have the 2m fleece leads and paired with the harness means that they can be attached to the front D ring to give extra control if needed or easily be attached to a table or chair so keep them secure when in a cafe etc.”

“We are in Autralia and our trainer recommended the perfect fit harness. We ordered the harness and it arrived quickly. The instructions were clear and the video was great. We have a highly reactive Labrador and he pulls a lot when he sees another dog. With the Perfect Fit harness I feel I have more control over our boy and he is not being choked by a lead around his neck. The harness is strong and gives me a sense of safety I did not have with a lead and collar. I would highly recommend the harness.”

“Lovely harnesses and training leads , I do however feel the leads are a little slippery in hand in wet weather”

“At first I thought the top piece was a bit small but after adjusting it and having taken my dog out with it I found it was just right. I like how soft it is under his legs. Will be ordering another”

“The initial sizes didn't quite fit so I sent photos to the team and they responded immediately and sent some alternative sizes to try. Super friendly and helpful! Thank you. Now it's a perfect fit! ;-)”

“I was really pleased that the harness fit my lad first time, so no need to return or swap. He seems much happier in this harness because it is a lot less bulky and doesn’t need to go over his head (which used to drive him nuts). Love the wine red colour with his black and white coat.”

“This was our last hope, as our dog rejected a few over head or step in models; hid under the table when time for walkies. This one is so much easier for us and her, though to be honest at first we had it on upside-down ( I know, stupid to think the colored sections were underbelly)! All good now and the sizing advice was right first time.”

“I had high expectations after my dog trainer had recommended perfect fit. The measurement was straight forward. The harness is definitely an improvement on the current one which she can walk backwards and get out of. This one is more snug. My only complaint is the strap is immediately behind her with no space. I am concerned it will rub against her leg. I feel that the harness should be longer on the top piece between the shoulder blades.”

Thank you for your feedback, Susan. It sounds to us that the fit of your harness isn't quite right as it should not be sitting too close in to the front leg/armpit area. Firstly, we advise lengthening the bottom of the front (Y) section (the bit that goes between the front legs). This will move the harness back on her body and away front he front leg. If this is already at it longest, it may be that you could do with some different pieces.
