“We have bought Vauxhalls from this garage since the 1970s and are always very pleased with any car we buy, including this one, bought unseen on Friday 21st April. We did however feel that this time the handover on Friday 28th April was a bit rushed - maybe because it was late afternoon, the end of a month and lack of space at the garage. (We had really wanted to wait until w/beg Monday 1st May, but were told it had to be collected before then.) The car, only 4 months old, is in very good condition, but sadly spoilt by a stale smell of smoke (from the previous owner no doubt), and when I phoned last week to ask if the garage could do something about this I was told that I would have to pay for valeting - which surprised me given that we had only just bought the car. I was promised a return call, but am still waiting. Also still waiting for key-rings, and it wasn't until we got home that I noticed there was no parcel tray (surprisingly not seen by the two salespeople who were there when we looked in the boot) - although this has since been provided.”
“Paul Stephens is a great salesman, very helpful and definitely goes the extra mile. The fact that he personally washed the car for me to see it is incredible. He also put £10 of petrol in it, which was very kind. However, the sales manager Glenn was quite condescending and lied. He claimed that there was a half tank of petrol in the car (which he said was worth 'at least £20'). Not only did I know that Paul put £10 worth in, when I got in the car it only had a little over a quarter of a tank. Really good experience overall, despite this - because of Paul.”
