“I wasn’t a phone gamer. Now I am a phone gamer. The backbone is by far the best thing I have bought in the last few years. And I got a ps5 in the last few years. This controller, the app, the ease of use, the ability to charge and use headphones. The compatibility with console gaming. It’s absolutely worth every single penny. Thank you backbone !!! I use it with my iPhone 14 pro max.”

“You can’t “play your favorite games without a console” There’s no Xbox games or PS games you can play without connecting to your console. Google Stadia is shutting down and won’t let anyone create a new account. You can only play games from the App Store on your phone, and it’s not a good controller for that. False advertising, misleading, lame.”

“I ordered three of these Backbones for my grandchildren for Christmas. They are all three very attached to their games, so I know they will love these additions to their Iphones. When I ordered them, they came very fast. I know they will be a hit and win MaMa some brownie points.”

“Well worth the price! I have been having issues with my dinky laptop lately and didn’t want to miss out on the genshin grind, so I opted for a backbone so i didnt have to try and cramp my hands around a tiny screen and it has worked wonders! Its small and easily portable too to i can take it wherever I go! The only complaint I have it that I wish it fit around phone cases so I dont have to take my case off every time, but that is a very minor complaint.”

“The controller itself in terms of connectivity and response time is very good. However, I have had to send it back twice due to malfunctions with the controller. The costumer service is good and when the controller did break I would have another quickly and without much hassle. I would recommend the controller to those who like portable/mobile gaming but also wish backbone was a bit more reliable.”

“I absolutely love my Backbone controller! It feels excellent and opens up so many options for how I play games on my iPhone. My personal favorite game to play with it is Rocket League Side Swipe. Having a controller makes the game feel so much more natural to control. There's even an app that does a great job of adding games to a console-style menu that you can navigate with the controller! Before I had this controller I would use a grip to attach my phone to an Xbox controller. Not only was this clunky but it also added lag because it was using a Bluetooth connection. I love this thing so much that I even bought a second one for the PlayStation design. However, there is a big downside to the Backbone. While it feels great, I have some concerns about the durability of long-term use. I mentioned before that I bought two. Well, it turn out that I had to send both of them back for warranty repairs. One had a trigger button that stopped working and the other started making a strange grinding sound inside the right stick. To the Backbone team's credit, they were both replaced for free. That said, it doesn't change the fact that you are pretty much required to buy some kind of 3rd party case on Amazon. I originally bought both because I love the product but now I feel like I need a second one as a backup. I also think the buttons feel a little bit too clicky and rough (like a Nintendo Joy-con). I wish they weren't quite so harsh to use but that's just personal preference. Also, one potential downside in the future is that this controller plugs directly into the iPhone's lightning port. This means that if you upgrade to a future iPhone that doesn't fit the case (or if the EU forces apple to change to USB C) these will be pretty much obsolete. The team has done a great job adapting the case with things like adapters that accommodate the 14 Max's camera bump but I worry about how long they can keep that up. I really hope they add some kind of lightning to USB C adapter if Apple does ever make the switch. Overall, despite the issues, this is a fantastic controller case! I have left my Switch in its dock for months because I find myself playing with my phone instead. That is a HUGE change from even a year or two ago. This product fundamentally changed how I use my phone and opened me up to a world of new games. Even with the issues, as long as it fits your phone I highly recommend it!”

“The controller is awesome I really like it, but still have some serious problems with the assembly or construction of it, I bought 3 controllers and each one after a couple months of use start to fail, buttons get stuck or when you press the directional button it does something different. Disappointed”
