“Same as comment below. To buy you now need to supply a selfie of yourself, a copy of your drivers Licence and your credit card for them to approve payment. All customer service comms are canned automated responses and they do not answer your questions. Believe this is now a phishing site for identity theft. Stay Away!”
“It was fine for the first few purchases, then they suddenly asking me for a photo of me irl holding my personal ID, the physical credit card, and my bank statement.
Cancelled the purchases, and closed the account. It seems the system auto-refunded me, but in case it doesn't. I'll do a chargeback.”
“Gave some information to get nowhere. Seems like multiple layers of scams going on, at the lowest level it just phishes for account users who are considering selling.
Im expecting lots of unwanted communications going forward now.”
“Imagine giving photos of your ID/driver's license/passport/credit card/bank statements/and a selfie with said documents! for 'security purposes' for any small purchase. Just enough to commit lots of frauds with your personal info in some countries.
Scam, stay away if you value your personal integrity.”
“Warning, Player Auctions advertises 20min delivery on their website. This is comes after you complete their incredibly questionable authentication process.
Once you have made payment, you recieve an email asking for pictures of your drivers licence, a selfie of you with your licence, your credit card and your bank statement. I just spent the last 2 hours back and forth with them after they kept requesting clearer pictures or "uncropped" screen caps.
Thankfully the process to cancel my order was easy enough. Hopefully the amount is not debited from my account.
Take your business elsewhere. Save the headache and possible personal information fraud.”
“A site which offers several payment methods but which blocks them when the bank accepts then asks you for a scan of your identity card your bank card a selfie of you and your card a bank statement... And what else your card secret visa code? What will they do with your personal data next?”
“My original account from 4 years ago had normal purchases everything was fine until a purchase was delayed, saying verification required, odd, then I am told I must provide ID, Goverment ID, selfie with my ID, bank card photo, photo of money being withdrawn from my account, or pay using crypto currency.
So I got my order cancelled and refunded after 2 months of waiting for a refund it finally came in.
I tried again this year, and out of 7 purchases all on the same day. 4 worked seller interaction was good, then my last 3 purchases all got flagged for verification, I did the process and still they refused to release my purchases.
They withdraw the money from my bank account, then the seller doesn't get it, because player auctions is holding it.
What other website makes you do this? A Home loan?
Honestly, I pay for my items, I expect my goods, not ridiculous excuses saying, give us all your personal information and ID and your address and your bank details, what a SCAM.
I never got my final items, instead I had to cancel to try and get a refund. This is so dodgy, don't believe the good deals on their website, it is a honey pot to try and lure you in there, these guys are all chinese scammers.”
“I Had a bad experience with this web site, I tried to buy that Game currency (worth about $230) with crypto wallet and its got underpayment, So I try to get my money back with coupon That I can use on that website, and they just answered me about choose to convert my refund cost to coupon or money and I choose to receive as a coupon , but after that no response after that. So I just keep messaged till they give a answer, and they reply me an empty letter every message, no any progress update / refund. Really horrible costumer services Anyone who watch my feedback please do not waste you guys money on this scam website.”
“Instant banned my account because roomate. I have email proof I can send to you. I have a roomate. They made an account to buy with, I tried to do it 5 minutes later and they instant suspended my account saying 1 per household. What kind of rule is that? They refuse to let me have my own account because I live in the same house. Why the @$#* would that stop someone from making an account? Seems pretty shady to me. I would never spend over 100 dollars ona friends account for a website. Plus it seems like they are ripping people off down this whole list. I hate these people.”
“I had made an account because I had found something I wanted to buy. As soon as I tried buying it said my account was suspended. I contact them and they tell me I'm perma banned but refuse to tell me why. It seems like they only want to collect information on you before banning you. That's sketchy.”
“I made an account so I could get some online currency for a game I play alot and my account was instantly suspended after I registered. I put a trouble ticket in and recieved an email not explaining why I was suspended, but was going to permanently suspended. How is registering terms for getting suspended? The site seems really sketchy and is most likely a scam. I would highly recommend never using them.”
“I've just spent a month and a half exchanging emails with this company when I tried to make a purchase for their orders, that both failed twice on their end, yet money from my neteller was taken. For all this time they were telling me to wait, check, check with neteller, than on one of their screenshots I noticed they sent refund to the wrong email (one i'm registered on their site with, inactive account that doesn't recieve money i checked with neteller), 2 weeks later now they tell me they never recieved the money and basically to f off. Incredible.”
“I have never purchased anything from this web company and yet I have multiple charges on my card from them. I am disputing with my bank right now. 6 charges totaling almost $200.”
