“I had Ilia as my teacher, and I'm not exaggerating when I say this: He was one of the best teachers I've ever had, if not the best. He is truly a rockstar but without the guitar. I was fortunate enough to have Ilia as my teacher for the PSAT 4-Week Course and multiple hours of tutoring. Before working with Ilia, I had been scoring in the upper 1400s range on my practice tests, unable to get over the hump into the 1500s range. My biggest struggle was always with English, specifically with grammar. Ilia's wealth of knowledge, particularly in semi-colons, colons, idioms, and minor more technical aspects of vocabulary, was a game-changer for me. Here are the results of my six sat practice tests while working with Ilia. I got a 1600, a 1590, two 1580s, one 1560, and one 1550. These are the total results of all practice tests I took while working with Ilia. My scores represent, on average, a 100-point increase from the high 1400s that I was scoring. On the practice tests for math, I got four 800s and two 780s. For English, I got two 800s, one 790, one 780, one 770, and one 760. These scores and results speak volumes for Ilia as a teacher, Prep Expert as a company, and founder Shaan Patel. The classes and tutoring were perfect in terms of structure. Ilia ensured the class was engaging while providing insightful information and strategies, always answering every question precisely, as needed, to understand the material better.”

“I just had my first class with PrepExpert, PSAT prep. I had Ilia, who made class fun! He made us send reactions, cracked jokes, and made something that would have been boring into a fun class. I came into this thinking it would be super boring, but it actually turned out fun and usefull. I'm in freshman year right now, so know that I have learnt the basics of what's going to be on the PSAT, I can start prepping for it, like an expert! Thank you Ilia!”

“I loved this course. Miguel Chariva was my instructor and he was amazing. I genuinely cannot recommend this course enough as well as having Miguel as an instructor. His advice is super helpful and very straightforward. Additionally, apart from the tips and strategies from the actual course, he makes his own study sheets for his students as well as gives positive and genuine talks which really makes everything easier. “Prep Expert was extremely helpful. The strategies, reviews, and homework were crucial in my score increase, and the classes were very beneficial. My teacher, Miguel Chavira, created a very supportive environment, encouraging us to do our best and I was excited to do my best. He emphasized the importance of having a reason behind wanting to increase your test score, keeping us motivated for all 6 weeks, and ended the course with words of encouragement for the class. This class gave me more confidence for the SAT and other future standardized tests I may take.”

“My instructor was Miguel Chavira, he was one of the best instructors I've ever had for any type of class. Through his help and the course materials provided, I was able to increase my score by at least 150 points, if not even more. I came into this course being unmotivated and scared of beginning to prepare for the SAT, but having an encouraging instructor really changed my perspective on taking classes to benefit myself. Mr. Chavira never made anyone feel bad about asking questions and always explained things thoroughly, which is why I believe enrolling in Prep Expert was one of the best things I've done!”

“My instructor Miguel Chavira is probably the best SAT tutor I have had thus far. He was able to teach me the material incredibly well and made it simple for me to understand the most. He also taught me some general lessons that I am slowly starting to implement into my own life regarding procrastination, studying, and self-motivation. I would say that Miguel was able to help me understand the SAT far better than I thought I ever could. My score improved 150 points and I enjoyed his teaching style and how cooperative he was with his students, myself included. I initially thought I would bomb the SAT and my score would never change, but the course I had with Miguel proved that sentiment completely wrong.”

“I love prep-expert so much. This experience has been so impactful and Emma made it very interactive and fun. She always was open to all questions as well as brought up hilarious examples that were relevant to the course. There wasn’t one seminar where I wasn’t laughing and smiling because of everyone in the course. She really impacted my learning experience and taught me skills that I can use within school tests and life in general. One of my favorite memories was when she advised us to pretend we were the kid from Polar express when answering the reading questions. I found it so funny that I almost fell off my chair. The whole chat was exploding with laughter and we all really bonded. Even though we live in various states, I really felt like I found a strong community within these lessons. Emma is like a big sister every weekend, I really hope she remains with the program and maybe one day I can see her in person and give her a huge thank you. She has given the best advice, I could ask for and has significantly helped my studying for the SAT. Her skills and knowledge about the SAT is excellent and engaging. The course is planned out really well and I always looked forward to the seminars. Whenever I had a tough week at school, I would remind myself that we had test prep this weekend and I would instantly become excited. “My instructor, Emma, was very patient and knowledgeable and an amazing teacher. She answered questions thoroughly and made sure that everyone understood the concepts before moving on. Emma explained her work/thoughts very well and in a systematic way, helping me to better understand the reason why a certain answer choice was correct. The Prep Expert curriculum was comprehensive and covered every area of the SAT exam. I especially valued learning about the strategies to better approach the SAT, such as BOSS and the words to avoid in answer choices. Overall, I feel a lot more confident and prepared for the SAT after taking a Prep Expert course.”

“I signed up for the 6 week SAT flagship course with my instructor Emma. She was really kind and addressed any difficulties I had with certain problems, and she overall taught the course really well. My main struggles were with English, such as punctuation and passage comprehension, but through the untimed modules and practice tests, I feel much better about my SAT status than I had before I started prep expert. Overall, really potent course for improving my SAT problem solving skills!”
