This whole process was ridiculous. From the 1st phone call to delivery. Once I found the dog I wanted I paid in full. From that point on I couldn't get anyone to call me. I tried several times a day for several days. I also emailed them with no results. The pup pack that you pay like $200 for is a rip off. I chose a tea cup pup. The bed they sent was for a medium to large dog. The toys are bigger than he is. The food dish and blanket were all that we could use. That's not worth $200. So I paid extra to have him delivered to me. The breeder changed the dates 3 x's. Once she finally did set a date it was ok. 24 hours before he was supposed to be delivered I still had not received a confirmation email. With date, time, and breeder contact information. So again I tried calling and email. 10am the day of delivery I got the email. With information. We were supposed to meet at Walmart by my house at 2pm. I called the breeder at 1:30 to see if she was close. She advised me that she just left her house, it's a 4 hour trip. So I was very upset 😡. She said she would be here between 5-6 o'clock. I told her that if she did not get here before dark she would have to drop him off at my house. I can't drive in the dark. So around 8 o'clock I called her again to see where she was. She told me about an hour out. I told her that she would have to bring him to the house I can't drive in the dark. She said she really didn't want to do that. I told her that if she didn't she could turn around and go back home or get a motel room for the night and I could pick him up in the daytime. She decided that she would drop him at the house. She finally got here a little after 9. He was very lethargic. I gave him a little corn syrup. Wouldn't eat or drink anything. So I put his bed next to mine and we went to sleep. I got up the next day and he had not moved from where I put him. I gave him a little more corn syrup and put him in front of the water/ food dish. He did eat the wet food. So I calmed down some. He finally did perk up some. But I know he's still stressed out from such a long journey and not even being a pound. So I suggest going somewhere else to pursue your pup. Like so many others I didn't research puppyspot before I bought him. But, finally he's home and we won't have anymore issues.

Puppy Spot has real charming staff until you get your dog. I am expected to meet certain criteria to adopt, but the Puppy Mill Broker doesn't appear to have any obligation to the buyer. My dog walks on his dew claws, he came with kennel cough, gardia, and now we are dealing with a joint problem. I love this dog, but he is costing me more money every day and Puppy Spot takes their sweet time to communicate. I sent the first set of vet bills and have had no response. Wish I had known what questions to ask before I forked out the $5500.

They said my puppies parents were DM negative. I tested my puppies and they are heterozygous. Also hard to get them after paying a lot.

You put the money up front then crickets! My first choice of puppies I was told at the last minute that he had a hernia when I choose a second dog I got charged $100 cancelation fine because I didn't take a defective dog! Now even though this last dog chosen is entirely of travel age it's taking a looooong time to even get a travel schedule for him. You would think that we would get expedited service for all the afore mentioned reasons!! Still today we have no idea when we will receive or puppy!!!!!!!!

When we got the puppy he had a disease. A disease that dogs get from eating your own feces. He was extremely underweight and has not been fed properly according to my vet. She also thinks he’s been abused because he is afraid to even go outside. The customer service at Poppy spot is very poor as well. Not a good experience at all. Would never recommend

I would like to say that my experience with puppy spot was Good, we received updated pictures of our puppy ( chocolate Labrador retriever) also lots of information on preparing our home for his arrival.the delivery to our home was great, he arrived before noon time April 5th 2022. As they stated.he’s amazing and looks exact like his pictures he fit right in with our family, he’s very energetic and loves to play, potty training is going well he’s already letting us know when he needs to go out we haven’t had hardly any accidents in the home. We haven’t noticed any abnormalities unfortunately we couldn’t book a vet appointment right away because they’re booked until may.. so prayerfully all goes well as we missed the 3 day puppy promise deadline. We went out on a limb and haven’t been disappointed thus far. They communicated with us throughout the process. We look forward to a happy healthy life with (Eli) we renamed him Hershii reading the reviews had me nervous as I didn’t know what to expect but all went well.

I'll just give the positives and perhaps the most important. First of all, our puppy came to us looking exactly like the picture. The delivery was outstanding! I was amazed at how clean and fresh she was with a completely new and clean crate that they let us keep. I kept waiting for something to go wrong especially with our weather getting ready for ice and snow but she came before it got bad. She came the day and time as promised.

“We make lives better by placing healthy puppies into happy homes. “ This is what this business claims. But this is a BIG LIE, PUPPIES ARE FROM PUPPY MILLS and the site does nothing to monitor or hold the breeders they use to account! Our problems began from the very beginning. Originally the puppy we selected was advertised as a boy name Cody. About two days before we were supposed to receive it, we were told that it was a mistake, and that Cody is in fact a girl. We thought this was an odd mistake but did not think much of it and decided to move forward with the adoption. We have so much love to give and the pup needed a home. We named her Eevee. The problems began shortly thereafter. Our sweet girl vas not growing! She started having diarrhea and would throw up no matter what we fed her. After numerous visits to the vet, she was diagnosed with an extrahepatic portosystemic shunt (a common genetic defect that arises from irresponsible breeding). It was at this point that we were referred to a surgeon. An exploratory laparotomy was performed, and the aberrant shunt vessel was identified, however her caudal vena cava was absent cranial to the shunt. A liver biopsy was obtained and Eevee was recovered from anesthesia as the surgeon could not move forward. An Abdominal CT scan subsequently performed the following day (8/11/20) to ensure that a shunt closure could be safely performed. She was found to have segmental aplasia of the caudal vena cava but the surgeon was able to plan accordingly and move forward. Eevee was taken back to surgery on 8/12/20 and an ameroid constrictor was placed on the portocaval shunt vessel. This was Eevee’s second surgery in a 72-hour period, the incision spanned most of the length of her body. At the time Eevee was 4.5 pounds and barely made it. The pain and suffering we had to endure was tremendous and her medical costs were approaching $10,000 (she is only 1.5 years old). She will likely still need medical attention her entire life! 😢 We then contacted Puppy Spot with our concerns, namely that Eevee had genetic disorders synonymous with irresponsible breeding. We explained that we used the site specifically to avoid a situation like this. We did not ask to return her but requested they provide some sort of refund for the purposes of helping with Eevee’s growing medical bills. After longer than a month, numerous follow ups and after Puppy Spot’s own vets reviewed the medical records and agreed with us, we were made the following offer: 50% store credit from Eevee’s original purchase price to be applied to the next purchase of a new puppy from their site OR Monetary compensation in the amount of $587.50 representing ¼ of Eevee’s purchase price. We were then told the offer is made as is and to just choose an option. This was a complete slap in the face! They offered no sympathy, took zero responsibility for their lack of due diligence, and essentially dismissed us. We originally went to this site knowing that we would end up paying a much higher price for a dog but that at least we would have some assurance that it was not bred in an irresponsible and amoral manner. We have learned our lesson the hard way. These guys are no different than a puppy mill. They do not do their due diligence; they do not seem to do anything to ensure that the animals are bred humanely. They could not even tell the difference between a boy dog and a girl dog. Make no mistake, the animals advertised on the site are exactly the same as you would get from a puppy mill, they just found a gimmick that allows them to slap a much higher price tag on them. The irony that such a business would only further encourage the spread of puppy mills was not lost on us either. Please do not EVER buy from them. These people are part of the problem. They are complete frauds! Do your research better than us. Make sure to ask what steps are specifically being taken by any company making claims such as these to insure said claims are actually true and not just a marketing gimmick used to jack up the sticker price. Check the return policy, Puppy Spot gives you a whopping three days to discover and report any disorders such as this, this was a major red flag that we missed. Do not make the same mistakes we did, a puppy’s life could very well depend on it.
