“Paid for next day delivery and had to wait a week. Made four phone calls related to delivery nobody bothered to ring back also emailed and requested a call was told delivery would be Wednesday still didn't arrive materials delivery Thursday and was not informed about delivery”

“Great product and great delivery - but their order system is appalling! 5 telephone calls, 3 messages and two emails and I've still had no response! Have they gone out of business?!!”

“We have the heaviest of clay soils here in Northumberland, but we dug out as much as possible and replaced it with border top soil ! What a difference, lovely friable soil, no ore red clumps of mud, and everything in my garden is growing beautifully, recommend it to anyone.”

“I wanted 2 tonnes of topsoil, our local supplier had a minimum 3 tonne delivery so looked on the net for an alternative. QGS came up on the search and although the price was nearly as high as the local suppliers 3 tonnes, I went with them (rather than have too much soil to get rid of). The service was excellent, the delivery turned up on the day I requested, the driver couldn't have been more pleasant or helpful, the topsoil seemed like excellent quality, very well graded, no lumps or stones (the plants will be the real teller). I have ordered some earth worms to put in the beds (as they were started from scratch). I have no hesitation in recommending this product.”

“The whole process was stress free and the delivered topsoil for delivered on time and appeared to be very good quality. One small niggle was that I ordered 5 tonnes of one type of topsoil and 1 tonne of a different type however there was nothing on the bags to distinguish which was which. Overall very pleased so have now ordered some turf.”

“Customer Service is terrible. On the website, it reads: "We can deliver most of our garden and landscape supplies next day any where in the country!" Aye, right. Try 8 days. To the middle of a city. It was going to be 6 days, but they mislabelled the pallets. What happens when they fail to deliver? Nothing. No phone call, no email. They just wait until you chase them up. So the next day, they re-send the shipment overnight. That makes it 8 days since ordering some bags of dirt, which should be a dead simple delivery. When the shipment arrives, the delivery driver calls and tells me he needs my help to unload because he can't move the 1-tonne pallets on his own. You've GOTTA be joking me. I'm at work, not home, and I can't just leave. SO HE REFUSES TO DELIVER. And then the staff at QGS start arguing with me about whether the haulier is capable of delivering. They tell me, look, we do this 100 times a week. That's grand, luv, but I'm simply relaying the message from the haulier -- they loaded a truck with heavy pallets and didn't have any way of removing it at the other end! These people are utter hell to deal with. Avoid.”

“Quality of the soil was fair for leveling my lawn against a new retaining wall. Unfortunate that the delivery came at the end of the day (6pm) despite ordering next day delivery two days before (albeit after 1pm). Driver was helpful though and made an effort to place the bags in the most convenient location.”

“Absolutely dreadful service. I paid for next day delivery waited in all day rang call centre 3 times to find out what was happening. At 4pm was told it was not going to be delivered. I was told on each occasion I would be called back and was not. My compensation was that i was reimbursed the £25 next day delivery charge. This was not reimbursed and I had to chase and am still waiting to see what happens. When delivery turned up it was wrong i ordered 2 ton and only 1 ton arrived.Again i have had to ask to be reimbursed and amm waiting to see what happens. No hint of apology and the goodwill gesture was to reimburse £25 for next day delivery which i haven't had. Dreadful Dreadful service and complete waste of my time”

“This is the first time that I have bought top soil so I did an internet search for competitive prices and quality. Quality Garden Supplies seemed to fit the bill to I put an order in one Thursday evening and received the product the following Monday with free of charge delivery. The delivery 'sack' was full to the brim of well sieved dark soil and the quantity proved to be just the amount that I needed. I have no way of checking the growing quality of the soil as yet, but, in comparison to the heavy clay soil that constitutes most of my garden it appears super. The whole ordering process was fine and quick and the only slight con to the whole delivery process was that it was delivered in a large curtain sided lorry and unloaded and taken to the property on a pallet truck. The on line tracking service did not recognise my order until the Monday morning and even then, did not give any indication of when on that day it would be delivered. My concern was the lorry being able to park near enough outside of my house. As it was, it was able to park up the road and the driver managed to push the delivery onto my drive. The delivery driver was fantastically helpful and left the bag just where I wanted it. So far I am extremely satisfied and would not hesitate to order from Quality Garden Supplies Ltd again Many thanks”

“My order was accepted and half the delivery was completed on the the agreed date. No effort was made to contact me that quality garden supplies had manually amended my order so the the other half would turn up the next day. The landscape team was on site but with no topsoil to prepare the ground for the turf that was sitting in the drive. Numerous communications followed while the landscape team waited, in the end they buggered off billing me for a half a day! The topsoil was eventually delivered at 1730hrs, a whole day late. I would not recommend these guys and I think I will take them to the small claims court to recoup my costs. Use with CARE. I am a seasoned online shopper and I am aware that sometimes things go wrong but Quality Garden Supplies have made no effort to amend the error of theirs. The turf was on sat , 5 days late and the condition of it was not very flash.”
