“You must be tired of reading all these 5 star reviews!! So I’ll give it 5+. Upon arrival on the Evolution and when we opened up the door to our cabin, we were pleasantly surprised at how spacious and upscale our room looked. A full size bathroom and room to unpack everything inc my 7 pair of shoes. (And honestly, I was barefoot most of the time) Our boat rides, our hikes, our snorkeling, our discovery, our friendships made, our guides, the staff, the joy of getting the crew vaccinated...all above and beyond.”

“Our trip with Quasar was absolutely wonderful!! It couldn't have been better. We loved our time on The Evolution. The ship was luxurious, clean and spacious, the guides fun and knowledgeable, the sites and wildlife were incredible, the food and drinks delicious, the staff of the ship nice, courteous and helpful and the rest of the guests aboard became friends! We couldn't ask for anything more. I'd love to do the same trip all over again! Quasar was also great throughout the booking process and in planning/booking our excursions before to Quito and Otavalo and transfers to the airport after the cruise. Every detail was thought out and carried out to perfection. Thanks a lot for an amazing adventure!”

“I had the most amazing time in the Galapagos Island and loved every minute on and off our Quasar ship. The transfers from and to the airport were seamless, the crew was extremely friendly and professional, the service was excellent, the food was very good and the cabins were comfortable, modern and very clean. I learned so much form their very knowledgable naturalist guides. This trip has not just giving me a much better understanding of the fragile eco-system of the Galapagos Islands but also of our entire planet. It was a life-changing experience and hope I will be back soon to explore more islands.”

“Loved our experience with Quasar! Our time in the Galapagos aboard the Evolution was nothing short of magical! It went beyond our expectations. The itinerary included so many islands and different habitats every day with options for every level of activity. The guides were so knowledgeable, thoughtful and attended to our every need. This was especially impressive as there were so many uncertainties associated with travel during the pandemic, but we felt safe and cared for in every regard. We will surely travel with Quasar again!”

“I have no experience traveling in the Galapagos, so I cannot compare the M//Y Grace with other tour expeditions. I felt that the sharing of information prior to our adventure was sparse and that there should have been better communication. Because of the pandemic, there were extra costs that we incurred such as Covid testing and staying at Quasar approved hotels (so that Quasar could ensure that we would be notified should there be any last minute flight changes). Quasar had no computer on board to view photos on a lager screen method for passengers to share photos or have the tour leaders share their photos.”

Dear Guest, Thank you for your comments and feedback. We understand that during times of Covid travel, and many procedures around it, can be a little more challenging than normal. The Covid testing that all our Guests currently undergo to get into the Galapagos, as well as to return to the United States, are requirements of the Government of the Galapagos and the CDC respectively. Quasar has no control whatsoever over these, nor the cost of testing. When operating during times of Covid our #1 priority is for Guests to stay safe and healthy prior to and during their cruise. This is the main reason we have required guests to stay in approved hotels before going to the Galapagos. Quasar is an Ecuadorian company, which means we personally have taken the time to inspect most of the hotels in the area. In this process our staff has found that many hotels (of all categories) are not taking Covid seriously and often don’t provide adequately trained staff. The hotels Quasar recommends have excellent Covid protocols, a well trained staff and very high health and sanitization standards. To address your comment on the pre-trip information, it is difficult for us to understand how the information we sent you is “sparse” or that our communications can be better. We typically hear just the opposite from our Guests. The process begins when we send all our Guests a personal welcome letter with detailed Covid entry requirements, information on planning their trip to Ecuador (including a video), their Galapagos flight schedule, information on insurance, clothing and equipment list, their yacht and more. We also send periodic reminders and finish up by sending Guests their Final Bulletin which includes updated flight schedules, airport instructions, emergency contact information, what to do if you or your luggage is delayed and more. Our Customer Service team is available every weekday and during weekends to address questions and concerns that Guests may have prior to, during and even after their trip with Quasar. Finally, all of Quasar’s yachts are equipped with Smart TVs that are perfectly capable of displaying Guest’s photos either from a USB drive or a direct cable connection from a camera to the TV using a USB, HDMI or RCA video input cable. If you asked our staff about sharing photos and these options were not made clear to you while on the cruise, we apologize. We have taken note and have stressed the importance to our Cruise Directors of informing this to all our Guests. “We had an amazing 2 weeks aboard the M/Y Grace in April 2021. We were so well cared for by the staff....and thoroughly spoiled! We did 3-4 activities each day, snorkeling at least once (in a real life aquarium), sea kayaking, hiking and Zodiac rides..... By the time we returned back to the ship after a full day, getting briefed on the next day's activities and eating an amazing dinner in the outdoor covered dining area, we were all ready to get some rest before the next day's active agenda. The ship is beautiful, and it's history makes it very special. There were special moments, including when our Captain turned the ship around so we could pick up a large pod of dolphins again to ride the waves at the bow of the ship.”

“I thoroughly enjoyed working with Quasar. Due to the pandemic, the trip I had booked for my daughter and I had to rebooked multiple times. Quasar was very helpful during that time. We eventually selected early April for our expedition. The information and guidance we received in preparation for the trip was exceptional. This included guidance on accommodations on the mainland and the prearrangement of transportation and as well as of testing. I always felt that I was in safe hands, even in the midst of a worldwide pandemic. On refection, I would say that this was the best organized and supported expedition I have ever been on.”

“Let me first start out by saying that even though I’ve been to many places, this was my first time traveling alone. I think it’s important to mention this because even though I traveled alone, I never felt like I was by myself on this trip. From the moment I arrived in Quito, I was picked up at the airport by my private tour guide and taken to my boutique hotel, La Casona Da La Ronda. I spent the first two days exploring the historic town of Quito with my private guide. Quito is such a beautiful town full of sights, sounds, and amazing foods. I could hear the passion from my tour guide, as she mentioned fact after fact about every step we took in Quito.”

“Visiting Galapagos fulfilled a lifetime dream for me. Quasar made that possible. The entire Expedition team from sales to our guides and yacht staff were the best! The bartender always had a low-sugar juice for my dietary needs when we came from an amazing ocean activity such as swimming with whitetip-fin sharks. I even looked down and saw a hammerhead! I totally recommend Quasar for a fabulous small-group experience! Karen”

“Myself and my 15 year old son traveled with Quasar to Galapagos on M/Y Grace in April of 2019. I can only say that the whole experience starting from the planning of the trip with travel advisor to connections in Guayaquil to Grace, food, service, guides and of course what we were able to do and see in Galapagos was beyond our expectations and our expectations were high. We loved every moment of the trip and planning to use Quasar in the future for Peru and Patagonia travels”

“Our Quasar trip to the Galapagos was magical. Every day, including the last excursion the morning we departed, was filled with adventure. The animals, birds, sea life were all spectacular and being able to get up close and personal was unbelievable. The crew couldn't have been better. The naturalists made the trip. “Absolutely amazing adventure. My husband and I traveled with our daughters aged 8 and 11 and we had the best trip we have taken as a family. Incredible animals, breath taking views and beautiful weather. The entire staff and especially the guides were top notch. I highly recommend this experience.”

“Wow, what a life-changing adventure we had aboard The Evolution. The whole team seemed to consider themselves a part of your family and consider Quasar their home in the Galapagos. I love that your values of conservation and ecotourism are carried out through your passionate guides. They became lifelong friends. My daughter and I had wonderful encounters with wildlife and marine life that would never happen in any other part of the world. No details were missed, and it was luxury and adventure from start to finish–I wish I could relive it again and again!”

“Our week with Quasar in the Galapagos was incredible. The intangible value that we obtained from this experience does not come close to what we invested in it. Everything was handled perfectly. I want to make a special mention of the guides who were amazing. We’re seasoned travelers and our guides in Galapagos were some of the best we’ve encountered in all our travels. We plan to return in a country le of years to do the second itinerary.”
