When I was looking for shoes, so many of them were white, satin and open toed. For a January wedding in beautiful but rainy Cumbria, that would have been a disaster. And it wouldn't really fit with my style either.
So when I found the Gardenia II shoes, they looked like a perfect fit. It's a style of shoe I wear regularly anyway, closed toes, a more practical material, a fabulous colour and they looked beautiful.
I had never spent this much on a pair of shoes and I was nervous about that and what if they weren't comfortable for long enough and I had just wasted that money, etc. But a friend had worn Rachel Simpson shoes to her wedding and had raved about them and I loved how they looked, so the recommendation from her made me feel less nervous. And really I had nothing to worry about, they are so worth it.
The shoes are packaged well and wrapped individually, so they're well protected and feel very special.
The shade of blue is beautiful and I loved seeing them peek out from under my dress and they look fabulous in our wedding photos. There was none of that awkward, painful period of breaking them in. They were incredibly comfortable from the moment I put them on and remained comfortable all day.
My only sadness is that I haven't managed to wear them again - none of my clothes seem to go with them - but that's not the shoes' fault and I'll keep trying :)”

“Ok so these shoes are on the little pricey side so I did Um and ah for some time before making my purchase. I haven’t worn my shoes yet as my wedding is in 12 days. BUT I already know they are the most beautiful and comfortable things ever put on my feet. I purchased Gardenia II in blue and all I can say is they are stunning beyond words. I built my dress around my shoes and went for tea length to be sure they will be seen. (After all They are too beautiful to hide). I purchased a 4 and they are a lovely fit (I would say I’m a large 4 so if In doubt size down not up). I would also say they are a wider fit but just adds to the look and comfort of the shoe. “Gorgeous shoes and wonderful customer service! I bought a pair of Lauren heels and they look and feel just as beautiful as they do in the pictures! I live in Canada and was nervous about ordering them online as my feet are quite wide (I'm a UK 4/EU 37 Extra Wide) and buying shoes without trying them on is always risky for me, but I sent the RS team my measurements and they walked me through my options and ultimately I decided to go for it and I am VERY glad that I did! Thanks to the soft leather and suede, a few sessions with a shoe stretching tool did the trick, and the shoes now fit perfectly and still look just as gorgeous as the day they arrived. I know they'll be comfortable to wear all day and while I can't wait to wear them for my upcoming wedding, I know I'll be making great use of them long after that!”
