I don't actually own a Regency gas fireplace. I am a gas contractor that services and repairs gas fireplaces for many years. I do like Regency fireplaces, and enjoy making them beautiful and safe for my customers

My dad and I bought a Regency GF40 pellet stove June 2022 because we live in Wasilla, AK, we are both older and wanted the most efficient, easiest and most economical stove for our needs. This stove had 1 of the best ratings so this is what we went with. It works great when it works. It heats our house in a timely fashion and once you get the pellet feeder figured out, it is fuel efficient. But... so far, my dad has had to replace the circuit board twice, I have had to replace it once. We have both had to replace the igniter, fuses have gone out, the burn pots have already cracked and the door seal had had to be replaced on both. And this is all in only 2 years. I would love to go a season without having to have something fixed and be able to use it the entire time without having to wait for something to be fixed. Also, make sure whoever you buy it from, will always have someone that can fix it.

I have been using this fireplace for the past 2 years and it is on all day every day during heating season. The fire looks very pleasing, the dogs love it, and my heating bill has been reduced by more than 50%. Could not recommend this product more.

I bought my regency CI2700 in 2019. In 2023 the catalytic combustor was full of large holes. Regency honored the 10 year warranty and gave me a new one. However in 2024 the new combustor had holes in it. Still under warranty I asked for a replacement. Regency told me I would have to pay half. About $500. The combustor is of poor quality and will be an issue every year. So regency has hidden the details of the 10 year warranty. DO NOT BUY. they do not honor warranty and hide details about it. Terrible quality and horrible customer service

I have an F1500. First winter the plate that the catalytic converter sits on warped and cracked my baffle. It was covered under warranty but took Regency and my technician 2 months to fix it (in the dead middle of winter). Worked for another season then the baffles started to crumble and need replaced again. For $4600CAD you wouldn't think this would be an issue. Getting tired of dealing with the cheap baffles so I either need to stock up or get rid of the stove. My priginal technician takes forever for warranty issues so I guess I'll just keep doing this out of pocket until I invest in a different stove. When it's working it runs great and is efficient. The airmate on top works but not sure it's worth the risk of having it break down in January. Unless Regency comes up with a better baffle material in the next year or 2 I'll definitely be getting a different stove. Also, I burn ash, maple, cherry and a bit of birch all around 10-20% moisture content (most around the 15%range).

I haven't recieved any response from correspondence I sent to Regency directly. That was disappointing. No product support from the top. I had a lot of trouble with my REGENCY i1500 in the first 7 months. The door handle fell off during a blazing fire. I had to sit there, holding it shut for close to 3 or 4 hours because if I opened the door the fire came out and got bigger. I had to prop a heavy log there when I rushed to the bathroom. Another time the metal air pipe fell down during a fire. That happened twice and one time everything else fell inward too while a fire was burning. Very dangerous situation a fireman friend told me plus it happened multiple times. Pipe was replaced, door handle repaired, parts ordered. Almost 5 weeks and no new incidents. That's a record! *sarcastic I like the fireplace, the look, the hot air fan output, the warmth it puts out, but would I buy a Regency again. No, I would not. No one I know that I've talked to about this has ever experienced anything like it with their fireplace, nor have they heard of anyone experiencing this with a fireplace. I think I will take my chances and $$$ elsewhere next time. Just an honest review

The burner plate has cracked 3 times in one year. I had to pay a service technician $350 to come out and tell me it was cracked and a new one would come under warranty. I paid the $350 again when the new one arrived to do the install but the new one was cracked to. So they sent another one under warranty. Again I paid another $350. So after just one year I spent another $1050 on service for a faulty burner plate. That was Jan 2024. Hear it is September 2024 and I turned it on one chilly morning and it lite then there was a big bang I can only describe as an explosion then it went out and did not come back on. I contacted the retailer who contacted Regency and they responded saying it is normal or the burner plate to crack although they had replaced it 3 times due to cracks. Now the retailer has no one to come out and service it and other Regency retailers will only service the ones they have sold? I wish I had never bought a Regency gas fireplace I hope this helps someone else avoid having these issues.

I have had a Regency CI2700 for 2 years now and I regret buying it. It regularly back drafts smoke into the room during loading, no matter how carefully I do it. I've gone through all the steps. And the air wash system for the glass simply does not work. In 24 hours after cleaning, the glass is cakes with soot despite running at 800-1100+ degrees F. I will be replacing this with an SBI product in the next year or two. I installed one of their products elsewhere and it is spectacular.

We purchased a new regency fireplace to replace a 27 year old unit that failed. The new Regency unit is more efficient, has a built in blower and has a remote and battery back up. The look of the Regency is more asthetically pleasing and we don't need to leave the glass doors open. Our gas bill was lower this winter. We changed the tile surround to a white marble look which makes the Regency stand out.

I visited this website to see if there was a recall on the fireplace I had installed on February 27th, the Regency i1500. The people who installed it have been over to my house no less than five times. The door handle fell off twice during a roaring fire, i had to keep it closed till the fire died out, one of the tubes from the top fell off during a fire three times and on Friday it looks like the whole thing imploded during a fire. You can see the side part came out, the top fell down, the tubing fell down, I've never been more disappointed in a product before. I spent ALOT of mo ey for a subpar product. Let this be a heads up for you. 5 failures in four months, not good odds. I have photos of every incident...unbelievable

Love our new F2500 wood stove. It replaced an old stove that was no longer usable. Now the house is snug and warm again. The fire lights so easily, and the wood burns so well. Can usually stock up enough wood before bed, and still have enough embers in the morning to get it started again. This is the second Regency fireplace I've purchased and would certainly do so again.

We love the realistic flame pattern and the heat that it produces. We use it every morning and evening and many day it stays on from the time we wake until we go to bed. Love it!
