“BE WARNED - DO NOT SIGN UP!! Signed up for this site for £1 then decided it wasn't for me so cancelled the subscription on the same night. They have now taken 2 x £35 payments from my PayPal account so they've robbed me of £71 in total.”
“I paid the £1 sub fee then cancelled it immediately on my PayPal account. However, and this one is definitely on me, I didn't cancel it on my Rentola account, thus receiving an email from them telling me I owed their monthly sub fee of £35. Fair enough. I paid it, then cancelled it immediately just to avoid any further nonsense from them. Be careful, though - it stinks of inauthenticity. All the fake reviews naming someone called Nina, a very helpful person who waived the £35 sub fee because she was so understanding. I can still smell the BS from here!”
“Once they got your email address, they start to chase you with the offers, which are NOT Confirmed and NOT VERIFIED!!! Within 14 days they gave sent they same but only one offer, every day, In the Czech language status of the
offered property us "RENTED". It us impossible to get rid of them”
“Tried Rentola using their 7 day period. Unfortunately, couldn’t find it too useful. To top it up, they use the dark pattern of not reminding before starting your 39€ subscription. I now have a subscription I have no use for. They refuse to refund me. In the conversations with their support, it was clear that they were dodging the dark pattern.”
“This company is a scam cover up they give you 7 days free trail but when you try to log in it doesn’t recognise your password. I then tried to reset it, received the email but the “link” that you have click does nothing. There’s no other way to reset the password which means you get charged £35 every 28 days and for what ?
They don’t respond to your emails either beyond a joke avoid with all cost !”
“They will make you pay £1 to contact a landlord, by doing this they sneakily sign you up to a £35 a month subscription! The Rentola website is just a middle man and after paying I it just sent me to a different rental website to contact the landlord for free. DO NOT USE!”
“They are rubbish, thieves, scammers they took £1 then a week after they tried to take money from my account and it didn’t work. Now they sending me emails with threats that if I don’t pay within 10 days they would send me to debt collectors. Am so upset I don’t what to do. They rendered no service at all, rubbish company.”
“Scam, spent £1 for the 7 day trial period and had no option to cancel until after 7 days. By this point they are demanding money and financially threatening me as I have not paid for the subscription, reason being I didn’t WANT the subscription and I had no other option but to keep it as they ignore emails and take away your option to unsubscribe!”
“As with others I used the free trial, was charged £29.99 and then checked to see if any properties was available to be unable to log into the account as they say email not registered total SCAM!!!”
“Fine service. I got an apartment within the trial period. The pictures could have been better, but the apartment was acceptable and totally legit. To be honest, I don't get all the shoutouts about being charged after a week. It was clearly written in the terms and conditions which you are accepting upon signing up, and to me it was easy to unsubscribe during the trial period. They get only 4 stars because there could have been better pictures and more apartments available, but I'll give them a try again next time I need a new home.”
“They are thieves. Cheating people by giving trial period for 1 pound.and then charging 35 pound per week. It is unable to cancel ASAP. They are not responding to our query. Cheaters.”
“Like so many others it seems I paid the £1 to look at a property when i was trying to help my daughter find a place to live. They appear to give nothing more than you can find on any online letting site like rightmove etc. Shortly after I tried to access to cancel and kept getting a message saying my email is not recognised. About a week after the initial £1 payment they took £35 from my bank account. I rang bank who have put a block on any future payments being taken from them and I sent an email to info@rentola.co.uk explaining and asking them to remove me from their system etc. I never got a response and have emailed them about 6 times now with no acknowledgement or response. They have this week tried twice to take money from my bank and have sent me an email with a big red box saying pay invoice, we note your payment didn't go through bla bla bla. I am livid! I cannot see any number online to contact them. total scam. Please do not give them any of your details. Good luck to those that are trying to recover stolen money.”
