Overall: We spent a wonderful week here. Enjoyed Most: The outdoor layout was superb. We were outside most of the day enjoying the view. The owners were very accommodating and friendly. Enjoyed Least: There is nothing not to like. Surrounding Area: There is something for everyone in Costa Blanca- from beaches to hiking to shopping and wine tasting. Nearby Events or Locales: It is near Javea. Check In Out: Used the key drop off- very convenient.

Overall: Very nice experience. Enjoyed Most: The views. The number of bathrooms. Enjoyed Least: A bit too far off the beaten path. Surrounding Area: Beautiful views. Nearby Events or Locales: Rignano sul Arno was the closest town. Directions: We used a GPS.

Overall: The property was very nice, spacious, and the hosts were great. The property included plenty of privacy and the bicycles were great for exploring. The location was central and made it easy to visit many cities and wine regions. Enjoyed Most: The hosts were very welcoming and even took us to a local festival the first night we arrived. We really got a taste of the local culture. Enjoyed Least: For the most part, the property was great, but due to the low altitude of the property, the view wasn't great. We were, however, able to get to good views with a few minutes walk. Surrounding Area: The wineries in the area and the city of Siena were amazing. Nearby Events or Locales: Monteroni d'Arbia was well within walking distance and we went often to buy groceries. Tips or Restaurants: Visit Siena often! It's so close and beautiful! Directions: We used a GPS and it was pretty easy. Perhaps making a note about the difference between a city and a commune would help. Check In Out: No problems.

Overall: Very good. Enjoyed Most: The view and rooftop deck and enjoying wine at the end of the day. Enjoyed Least: Steps - but it's AMALFI, after all. Surrounding Area: Aah... La Costiera Amalfitana. Tips or Restaurants: StairMaster before you go... then take it all in. The Calabrese people are beautiful. Check In Out: Very professional.

Overall: Very Good. The Owner's Rep who met us was very helpful and gave us some great recommendations! He was also very friendly and spoke great English! Enjoyed Most: Location was excellent; the outside terraces; the apartment was very clean and tidy when we arrived! Enjoyed Least: Lots of noise at night, but the location made up for this! Surrounding Area: The proximity to everything! Nearby Events or Locales: All of Rome is very accessible from this apt! Tips or Restaurants: Go across the river for some really good restaurants that are much cheaper! Directions: We used GPS which is almost a must if you plan to drive into Rome! Check In Out: The property mananger was very helpful and gave us some great recommendations for food and drinks!

Overall: Great. Enjoyed Most: Outdoor areas, two living rooms, lovely pool. Enjoyed Least: Small bedroom, but adequate. Surrounding Area: Local restaurant: no menu, terrible wine, lovely view, great fun! Tips or Restaurants: A long haul by train or car to Florence. You must enjoy the country. Lovely owners/managers. Great chef, Maurizio. Directions: we used a GPS. This house is out in the country. Keep going, you'll get there. We called from the car. Working cell phone matters.

Overall: We had the best time possible, it was truly a magical place with great food and activities near by. We cooked in some and there were 4 cooks in our group of 10. They love to cook and loved the kitchen. The rest of us enjoyed the yard and the pool. Enjoyed Most: That depends on who you are asking. As for me I loved all the outside furniture where you could read and watch what every one else was doing. The kids loved the outside too where you could swim and run, which they did forever. Enjoyed Least: There is nothing I disliked about the property; it was truly beautiful, quiet, and isolated from the rest of the world,. Surrounding Area: The villa was within walking distance of the town of St Agata and it was so nice when we went to town for dinner. We took a trip up or down the highway to Sorrento and it was a lot of switchbacks, but on the list of 1001 things to do before you die. Tips or Restaurants: Great restaurants in the town. The fellows who welcomed us into the villa were a great source for where to eat and what to do. About the only thing I forgot to bring was some shampoo but it wasn't hard to find. Directions: We rented A GPS system and it worked well. I'm not certain how you could do it without one. But I wasn't driving.

Overall: Wonderful! The property manager was excellent and a great resource. The experience exceeded our expectations. Enjoyed Most: Individual bathrooms and AC units. Pool, Loggia, and views were spectacular. Very private. Enjoyed Least: Kitchen set-up was a bit awkward and small, but functional. Surrounding Area: Quiet. Beautiful view. Nearby Events or Locales: Castelfiorentino and Montione within 6km but not walking distance. Castelfiorentino did have a train station which was most convenient. Tips or Restaurants: Use local chef that the manager can provide. Casa Masi outsde of Montione was a great restaurant. Directions: GPS highly recommended. Check In Out: Check in was great, we should have done check out the night before.

Overall: Very good - staff helpful - kitchen well equipped. Enjoyed Most: En suite bathrooms with each bedroom. Enjoyed Least: Living room/sitting area would not handle 17 people. We had to use the same towels all week. After some negotiation we were given extra towels midweek. Surrounding Area: Everything. Tips or Restaurants: 100 Palms Restaurant - very good - very accommodating.

Overall: Overall we enjoyed the property. The grounds were well kept and the interior of the property was clean and tidy. Enjoyed Most: It was clean and well maintained. Enjoyed Least: The house was not close to the village Beaume De Venice; it was on the outskirst. You could not walk for a morning coffee and pastry; you had to drive. We even had bikes and it was a good bike ride to the town. There were only 4 of us renting the property. If 6 of us were staying at the house the seating around the living room would not comfortably accommodate all. Two of the bedrooms did not have pillows to sleep on. We had to use the decorative pillows which were uncomfortable. Surrounding Area: Everything. Wine, ruins, visiting all the surrounding towns. Riding all over the area. Tips or Restaurants: Bring salt and pepper; the kitchen does not supply any spices. Don't worry about bringing toilet paper, dishwasher soap and laundry soap; they are at the villa. Directions: We used our GPS.

Overall: Fantastic. The owners/caretakers were generous with their time. Helpful with any minor questions. The view is amazing and the villa spectacular. Enjoyed Most: The villa is modern and clean. All amenities are available, including beach towels, lounge chairs on the multiple decks with umbrellas.Laura loves to cook. Without asking, the first night she made us Sangria. The second, a zucchini pie that was to kill for. A few days later, when we asked for the recipe she invited us into her home next door and made it with us. Amazing...The nicest hosts I have ever had, and I am doing this for 4 years... Enjoyed Least: No American coffee maker. You were able to make coffee, but only one or two cups at a time. Although we had two sets of directions and almost got there, if you miss the last right turn, it is very difficult to find. When we called Laura, she offered to come and get us....which she did. Surrounding Area: You can walk to the town, which is quite nice. The beach is also within walking distance as are the restaurants. There is a large modern supermarket, shopping abounds and the adjoining towns have terrific beaches where for a nominal fee you can rent both chairs with cushions and umbrellas. Nearby Events or Locales: The local town of Imperia is surrounded by beautiful towns, but not really within walking distance. But since you will need a car to get to the villa, everything is within 10 minutes. Tips or Restaurants: Since this villa offers the option of having some basic food shopping done before you arrive, I would take advantage of this. If there is anything specific you require, Laura and Carlo will try to have it ready for you. We enjoyed the waterfront front restaurants. the kitchen is fully supplied The bathrooms have ample towels and the maid comes in on Tuesday and Thursday for no additional fee. Directions: The hill is severely curvy, uphilland VERY narrow. My suggestion is to Call Laura or Carlo once you get to Diano Calderina to get help. Check In Out: Very informal. Since they live next door, they were very accommodating about what time we arrived and departed.

Overall: We had a fabulous week at Villa Pucci. It's a truly magnificent spot, with beathtaking views all around. Enjoyed Most: The views undoubtedly, the pool area, the pool table. Enjoyed Least: The kitchen was pretty rustic and basic for our needs. Not a great deal of work surface area. Also there was nowhere really to sit inside and relax, the TV room worked well for the kids but no area for adults to chill. Also the lighting in the bedrooms was very poor. Surrounding Area: Certaldo was a beautiful town with all the necessities. The old part of the town was amazing to visit. The position of the villa is equidistant from Florence and Siena which gives it real benefit. Nearby Events or Locales: About a 7 minute drive to Certaldo. Tips or Restaurants: We had a few problems with adaptor plugs as the points in the villa seemed slightly different from the usual European plugs. We found a wonderful restaurant in San Gimignano called Il Muro Vecchia. Bring extra towels for the pool.

Overall: Very nice indeed. Enjoyed Most: The place itself, beautiful. Surrounding Area: The towns and villages within little driving distance. Tips or Restaurants: Just rent a car to drive around, or better still, have a driver so you can enjoy the wine of the region.

Overall: We had a delightful stay at this apartment. It is nicely furnished, tastefully decorated, and well located so that we could walk to many major sights. Enjoyed Most: Clearly, the location is the biggest selling point of the property. Enjoyed Least: There was nothing not to like. Surrounding Area: We enjoyed being able to walk to many of the places we wanted to see. In Piazza Navona alone tourists can visit the magnificent St. Agnes Church, the Palazzo Braschi, or simply sit taking in the fountains and people watching. A few steps farther, the Sant'Andrea Church is a wow! Tips or Restaurants: Restaurants: Virginiae, right next door at number 41, has excellent food. Be sure to try the Carciofi alla Romana La Focaccia at Via della Pace, 11 Da Luigi at Piazza Sforza Cesarini, 25. Gelato Blue Ice at Via Sant'Agnese in Agone, 20, NOT Quinta Gelaterie at Via di Tor Millina. Supermarket Carrefour Express with deceptively small frontage at Via del Governo Vecchio, 119.

Overall: Overall we had a very positive experience. The location was wonderful. We felt very safe. We were within walking distance of a number of the best museums and Rue Montorgueil, which had wonderful restaurants and little food markets. Enjoyed Most: The location! It was so nice to be near the Louvre, Tuileries Gardens, the Palais Royal Metro, Rue Montorgueil... Enjoyed Least: We couldn't get the microwave to work. The street noise late at night from the cafe across the street and then again early in the morning was difficult for the boys sleeping in the room with the twin beds. Directions: We arranged for an airport transfer with Rentvillas and it was very smooth.

Overall: We had a great time in Rome. Hassen, the keeper of the keys, was an excellent source of information and very personable. Enjoyed Most: The location is great. It is very close to the Coliseum and the metro station. The apartment is very cute and attractively decorated. It is very quiet. Enjoyed Least: It is dark inside as there is virtually no exterior light. It is a bit like a little cave. There is a very nice patio outside the door but it was too cold for us to take advantage of it. The apartment was damp. Surrounding Area: We were able to walk to many attractions and the metro was nearby and easy to use. Tips or Restaurants: Bring good walking shoes as the streets are mostly cobble stone. Directions: We took a train to Rome and then took a taxi to the apartment. Check In Out: Hassen was a wonderful help, met us promptly and gave us great information.

Overall: The location was excellent and good for day trips around the area. Several good local restaurants and eateries. Within one hours drive we could be in Volterra, Greve, Siena, etc. Enjoyed Most: It was very quaint and right in the small village of Barberino Val D'Elsa. Could walk for groceries, Internet cafe, restaurants. Enjoyed Least: Really no comfortable sitting area. The kitchen and sitting area were combined so you basically sat at the kitchen table or on a sofa by the table. Surrounding Area: The scenery, vineyards and other towns and small cities. Siena within a short drive. Nearby Events or Locales: This property is right in the old town. Tips or Restaurants: Definitely need a car to enjoy the area. The local transportation would be inconvenient. We went just up the street to the local estate winery "Pasolini". Massimo gave us a tour of their cellars which run under the town and we had the had tastings of their vintages, including grappa. Check In Out: We called ahead on our cell and ultimately got reception who met with us. We were staying up the road from the main property so dropped off bags and went back to the main area to park.

Overall: The location of the property was perfect, the countryside around the property was lovely. Enjoyed Most: The kitchen was well equipped. Enjoyed Least: Lighting was lacking, especially in the kitchen area. A bench or hooks in the bathroom would be helpful. Surrounding Area: The fact that you were in the countryside and we had crops all around us. Tips or Restaurants: For the most part we ate at the Farmhouse.Toilet paper, soap, and dish detergent are a must. Directions: We did use a GPS.

Overall: Good. The people there were very accommodating and helpful. Their English was good and they seemed very thoughtful. Enjoyed Most: Quiet. Old converted Abbey school. Well kept up and clean. Old world grandeur. Enjoyed Least: Two-edged sword. You have the beauty of where it is located but you also have a twisting gravel road to get there. The "oven" was a microwave and the coffee pot was percolator type that we found insufficient to make a good cup of coffee. Luckily, by the third day we found a coffee shop a few miles away. Since they only serve dinner Tues, Fri, and Sat, you have to eat in the other nights. Stove was OK, but restricted to frying and boiling. Going to San Gimignano for dinner meant driving over those back roads in the dark - didn't think that was a good option after a carafe of wine. Surrounding Area: Beautiful scenery right out the window. Be warned - no screen windows. You can figure that out! Nearby Events or Locales: San Gimignano - Definitely not within walking distance. Tips or Restaurants: Spend the extra - get an automatic transmission and a GPS. Italian drivers are scary. You have to have a car to use this facility. Be prepared to spend big bucks eating out. Check In Out: They let us check in early and were ready and waiting to assist us both in and out.

Overall: Wonderfully welcoming family, very comfortable and charming house, great pool area (too cold for us to swim), incredible views, nice location. Enjoyed Most: Views, the welcoming Italian family, charming bedrooms, amazing dinner. Enjoyed Least: No complaints... the shower could be larger, but it was fine. Surrounding Area: Beautiful countryside, easy to get everywhere -- day trips to Assisi, Orvieto, Perugia, Citta di Castello, etc. Nearby Events or Locales: The only minor issue for us was that we couldn't walk to town. We're happy with long walks, but the road is narrow and twisting with steep drop-offs, and not suitable for walking to get to the nearest cafe. Tips or Restaurants: Internet service at the wine bar in Cortona at the end of the main shopping street is the best way to get online. Have a bottle of wine, sit outside, and enjoy the Internet access while you watch the passeggiata.
