not sure who's the one looking for excuses not to repair either, but one or both of them are? Repaircare state that they will preform a thorough evaluation of your appliance (he only stayed a few minutes) ? After 5 days a call from Repaircare saying that no parts have been ordered, there will be no further visits and that i will get a £50 back from the upfront payment of £125, because its been tampered with as such not repairable? A local agent has since visited and the unit required one part which will cost £45 In conclusion Repair have terrible customer service, still waiting for a reply from there escalations department after 7 days, some bad and dishonest repair agents who view a short visit as easy pickings, (even after providing details of an easy repair), perhaps Repaircare don't like sharing a fair slice of the £125 fee with the repair agent?, its a con, pay a fair price to a local honest agent.

They send out an "engineer" (service tech) who misdiagnoses the electrical problem with our cooker, orders the wrong parts, then says a gas engineer is needed to fix my oven not sparking (electrical).

I was attracted by their good reputation online and asked for a service for a not working dishwasher.

Now I know “we should’ve known better” and 100 % accept that we called on a service to repair something.

Avoid at all cost. I had a working machine that we only called them out for as started making a noise on spin cycle. Two engineers later the machine is totally broken and now told it’s beyond economical repair and job closed down. Customer service appalling nobody ever calls back as promised and taken 5 months before manager called back and just said nothing they can do.

My girlfriend has now had a broken washing machine for 6 weeks! She waited a week for an engineer visit, only for them to cancel the day before. She then waited a further 2 weeks to be told what parts she needed. After 3 weeks she’s chased them only to be told the parts are on back order! Absolutely shocking service! How are you supposed to go almost 2 months without a washing machine?
