“The mint colour looks barely any mint. It looks dirty white. The other colours nice :) mermaid mould very light but it does its job. Might order more powdered colours. Very quick delivery :) oh the polish liquids really good”

“The epoxy tape (the green one) has really poorly worked for me. It has seeped the resin through the wood to other side underneath disregarding the tape seal. I used half the tape taping 6-7 layers of this tape before it begun to hold the resin from seeping through.”

“The leaf mould was brilliant, and worked great. However, the wolf one got stuck to the resin. I was able to get the resin out, but did have to hack off a small chunk of the mould inbetween the ears and in the mouth.”

Dear Camilla Thank you very much for this review, we are so pleased you got on well with the leaf mould but sorry you had some trouble with the wolf, a good tip for demoulding is to do it in warm soapy water. Tease water into the mould gently and let the resin pop with gentle encouragement. This will also prolong the life of the mould. “I did not expect vast quantities. I don't doubt the powder goes quite a long way. However the posts are fairly small. I will check quantities more carefully next time.”

“Expensive for a simple mould. Lots of “aren’t we all buddies” emails from the company etc but while I wouldn’t question quality, I do think their prices are a bit steep (especially when postage is added).”

We however like to be friendly, really get to know our customers and provide high quality products. “The moulds I received were fantastic, as were the burrs. However, the resin wasn't the full amount stated on the side of the bottle. It stated 200ml, but only measured at 150ml. Really disappointing, particularly as this resin is not the cheapest on the market and it spoilt what was otherwise a lovely shopping experience.”

“Resin8 on the whole are ok, they're sort of cornering the resin and silicone mould etc art market here in the U.K. and because of that some items can be quite pricey, e.g. the price of their resin, (and from what I've seen it's no better or worse than some of the other resins out there.) you don't get much for your buck and you can't really gauge what you'll be receiving as there's no scale or measurement size on the bottles in the photos as they seem to be conveniently turned from view. Their silicone moulds however are better priced (just about) although the most popular sizes and shapes are more than double in price. They do have good stuff, but you will pay the price, I'm all for successful businesses, providing their prices are justifiable and are not taking advantage of the consumer, art should be accessible and affordable for EVERYONE. In conclusion there are things I'd buy from resin8 and things I'd look elsewhere for. I would certainly recommend resin8, but that recommendation would come with a warning about prices and a tip to do a good comparison search first.”

“First time using resin. Found it very difficult. It’s expensive to practise with. Difficult to clean up. Haven’t had any good results yet.”
