“The set arrived well and I tried it which turned out pretty good, yet the liquid had a really strong chemical smell and colours didn’t mix well so half of the planters didn’t turn out well. I asked for a refund or a replacement and after quite a long conversation they asked me to send it back and they would judge if there was a problem or not... since I would have to pay for the shipping from Switzerland it was pointless to send it back so wouldn’t recommend it unless you live in the UK”

We are sorry that you had difficulties with your kit. Jesmonite is made up of a mineral base and an acrylic liquid. The liquid does have an odour if you smell the bottle, but rest assured it does not release harmful fumes or VOC's, it's non-toxic and very safe and lovely to use. As we talked through together, we could not identify an issue with the kit but were able to chat through some techniques to help solve these problems with your future makes. “I love these resin products! It would be great to see a reduction in the amount of plastic in the packaging but the product is fantastic and delivery is very quick. Would definitely recommend!”

Hello, thank you for this review, we are so pleased you love the products you have ordered :) ..... I am delighted to say that the plastic looking packaging we use is actually compostable or biodegradable, our white packing peanuts are 100% plastic free and compostable (just try popping them under a tap!). We also offset our carbon so every delivery is carbon neutral. I do hope this puts your mind at rest With very best wishes Sarah Resin8

“Orginally buying resin from hobbycraft. I heard great reviews so swapped supplier and bought through resin8 instead. Utterly disappointed in the resin itself. Very hard to mix in comparison and even following all instructions correctly my pieces came out not great at all. Considering the price I am very disappointed and gone back to buying from hobbycraft again. Oh and Amazon for the moulds”
