I have not required to make a claim on my insurance so have no experience of service from your company on this matter, I have always found your sales personnel helpful and curtious , so if I required help in a claim all would be well. Richard Cridland

Very efficient and knowledgeable staff made renewing dead easy,please don't update the system it works fine,if it ain't broke don't fix it

Previous contact with RIAS has been good or very good. This time it was not so good. I rang the renewal number given as requested but still had to go through the whole rigmarole of options and then I was given a different number. Eventually the renewal was done well and your chap said he would pass on the need for improvement and the correct number for renewal given. My impression is that Rias is a good company which normally relates well to customers. This was probably an unfortunate hitch. We shall see next time, and in the Motor quote. Alexander Stewart

My car insurance renewal quote was about 12% more than last year. When I rang up to find out why the difference was so large, I was given a discount because I have more than one insurance policy with RIAS. The price reduction was very welcome, but why did I have to ask for it? Why couldn't the renewal letter have included the discount, and made it clear that I am saving money by having more than one policy with RIAS. I would the have thought far more of the service given by RIAS.

I have insured my home with RIAS for many years now mainly because we had a leak in our bathroom may years ago whilst insured with this company. This was the first time we had ever claimed on an insurance policy and found RIAS to be very co-operative and they fixed the problem for us with is little hassle as possible.

Such a shame, that as a long term customer, with both car and home insurance with the company, i had to phone to get premium reduced. FROM £620, DOWN TO £430(ish). Next time, if this happens, will change provider.

The person i spoke to was polite pleasant helpful and dealt with renewal very confidently ,offering me services which would have been of use to me if I had not been covered elsewhere eg. House insurance breakdown cover ,in all a comprehensive service.

Since I don't think I've ever made a claim whilst being a Rias customer it is difficult to be more accurate in my assessment of how they have helped me. They have though always sent clear documents and made sure i had the cover i required. The price of the house and contents insurance has always been competitive. This year the quote for Motor Insurance was completely off scale; an increase of approximately 50% without any explanation. I was able to negotiate a price with another company which proved to be less than last year's premium with Rias, and which had better potential benefits. Yours, David Moore

It took a very long time to answer the phone, but then I was given help and advice and even reduced the premium slightly, which was very welcome.

The lady in the House Insurance renewal department was most helpful, knowledgeable and friendly, she adjusted my premium, checked all the details were correct in a very proffesonal manner. So good to have a good experience on the telephone, thank you.

I have been very disappointed in respect to enquiries to the main telephone number that were repeatedly directed to the wrong extension numbers where I was kept waiting for long periods, and to no avail. My subsequent email complaint about this was not dealt with adequately, in fact RIAS blamed their sub contractors ( boiler service,) rather than taking responsibility for their own systems.

The first quote was much higher than I expected but in a phone call i advised that my husband died in April last year so obviously was no longer on the policy nor were his two hearing aids. The premium was then amended by about £40 which was much more suitable for my single pension.
