The rating normal is given as from 1984 we cannot remember having had a claim, however this has not stopped the costs rising every year and t his year have increased by £44.00. I am now 93 years old and housebound so the house is never empty. It is also stated that this house was built in 1946, which is not the information I gave having been informed that the properties in this avenue were built in the 1960's The property is built on a hill and and never liable to flooding. Alternative quotes are being sought

Renewing this car insurance was easy and the premium is very competitive. I have not claimed on this policy so I am unable to comment on its quality when disaster happens.

Your Car and Home Insurance is excellent, your Travel Insurance with Collinson Insurance is not. I cancelled a travel insurance with them 4 months into the policy and with nearly four months until we travelled and was only given one third of my premium back.Their customer service leaves a lot to be desired as well.

We were abroad for a number of weeks and did not realise that one of the cars we own needed to be reinsured. When we returned home and read the letter informing us that our car needed to be reinsured we contacted RIAS to renew the insurance. The person my husband spoke to said that as we were late in reinsuring she would have to speak to her manager to see whether they would consider insuring our car. The person who was speaking to my husband said that RIAS would reinsire our car but that we would have to pay a penalty of £20.00 for late renewal. We have insured two cars and a house with RIIAS for a good number of years and have never made a claim. I am not happy with a £20.00 penalty and shall talk to our MP John Whittimdale about this practice. Susan D Clough

As a loyal multi-insurer wuith RIAS, (2 cars and our house) we do find it galling that your raise the premiums significantly every year (despite no claims) and that the people we discuss this with on the phone are never aware that we use RIAS for property as well as cars, or that we are no claimers, old customers etc. or that, as loyal customers, we should perhaps be treated with a little politeness and consideration rather than with bored patronising .....

I have been with RIAS for some years and always found them to be very helpful. One glitch on my renewal this time. When I received my documentation I found they had put '' not protected'' for my NCD I had to ring them to have this put right and get amended documentation. It pays to closely check your documents when you receive them. If it hadn't been for this rating would have been very good. E.S

on 13th.july 2015 I installed a new security system in my home Beachview. IV31 6QU. from Ultimate home solutions limited. Unit906-908Mile End Mill. Abbeymill Business Centre, Paisley, PA1 1JS. they said I should inform my House Insurance Company about this Installation with monitoring & response alarm. David Wood

Only problem every year at renew time Rias offer a very increased premium price and after a phone call this price is more acceptable
