“Find out all about the area that you may have seen a house that you like the look of before going to see the property, sometimes the house may look really good in an agents window but the situation may be all wrong for you, you would then be wasting time so, best to do a spot of research first. Pays off in the end.”

“Informative and easily accessible to view details. Facility to be able to save searches, alerts and properties makes searching so much easier on each visit. Estate agents should be made to give full details of properties and include dimensions of garages and outbuildings - also what they contain as permanent/semi-permanent fixtures such as boiler, workbench, machinery or equipment, basins and water outlets etc. Property location map is really useful along with sighting local transport links and schools.”

“Rightmove was my primary source of properties to both buy and rent during my recent house move. I find rightmove's website easy to use; intuitive and relevent. comparitively I find most estate agents' sites to be less intuitive and often frustratingly clumsy to use.”

“Excellent in many respects, but recent narrowing of areas where one can specify proximity to a railway station is a drawback. if the area is too wide I tend to give up.”

“Good website, easy to use but wish there was boxes to tick so you could look for property types u only want to look at, ie utility room, double garage.....so I want to search for properties with these rooms....not single garage properties etc”

“I like the Map option that you get with each of the property details. This is the thing I go to after looking at the pictures. Using this means I don't have to to waste time on a property if it's not around the part of town I want to live in but can still consider it if the picture s look good.”
