Used to be a paid product and worked well on a desktop/laptop. Now since it's free for standalone users, it's a steaming pile. As Google, Firefox, etc. changes how they handle passwords, RoboForm snores on and does not keep up. Perhaps they want to sell only to business where the "big bucks" are and ignore single users. But having paid money on two occasions for licenses that are now free, I think the software has lost its way and is much crappier.

Great program. Been using it for several years now. Not only is RF a very good password manager, but it is a great bookmark tool that works for all the browsers I use.

do not install on macpro it bounces back from trash with message that it cannot be moved to trash because it is open but there is no way to close it REPEAT AVOID IF YOU HAVE A MAC

Hi Robert - This is related to the RoboForm application still running from the background. In the upper right task bar you should see RoboForm gray icon. Click the RoboForm icon>>Quit RoboForm. This should kill the task to complete installation. If you'd like to restart the installation, you can do so from a recent download or you can download from our site here. https://www.roboform.com/dist/roboform-mac-v8.dmg

Robo form was simple and easy to use. Now its so complicated its worthless. You provided no instructions about how to use it. None of my passwords transferred to the new version and if they did where are they. the one click to login seems to be gone. I'm very disappointed with the software and will now look for a new one to use. I used Robo form for many years but it now comes to a sad end.

that there is no longer a top toolbar is one of the worst losses of everyday functionality I have encountered I have used RoboForm for maybe 8 years now, always the jewel in the crown now it is a cumbersome and almost useless tool which behaves in an inconsistent manner which defeats the very purpose of its existence ok, so it's the fault of Firefox ... but how does that improve or rectify the loss of functionality ? ... it doesn't the TOP TOOLBAR, apart from the glorious ease of use, was also in the same location as the URL, so the eye could quickly catch whether there is a lock or https ... now all the time is wasted on performing additional clicks and trying to rectify the inconsistent outcomes from a program that was everything to one now that is at best 'highly problematic', in times when computer security, identity theft and cyber scams are omnipresent , to have a major pillar of my personal security online just evaporate like this is simply rubbish ok, blame firefox, even so the side bar or bottom toolbar either require much more user effort or the functions don't work in a consistent manner, and that's not a firefox problem as absurd a placement on screen that a bottom toolbar may be, I'd probably cop that if it worked, but intermittent equals dysfunction what a sad upgrade (please excuse any typos or grammaticals ... just couldn't be bothered checking) Jack

Hi Jack - we understand and sympathize with your frustration regarding this update, and we hope you can also understand our need to meet browser requirements and specifications. Roboform used to be great but the latest update is terrible. The Firefox toolbar has gone and when you click on show toolbar it docks at the botton of the screen and covers up the controls for video playback, Youtube etc when in full screen. Why have Roboform done this? Ever heard of the saying "if it isn't broke don't fix it"? You went ahead & fixed it anyway and now it is worse than it ever was. Not impressed.

The Firefox Toolbar doesn't work anymore and there is no WebExtensions pull down like in Chrome so I can't even fill forms using the new and longer method. There doesn't seem to be any upgrade for the Desktop version which is stuck at 7.9.28.8 from Feb 2017 whenever I check for updates. All in all what used to be a great convenience utility is becoming either tedious or useless.

If it is not, please submit a ticket via our online support system so our technical support team can investigate. In addition, you can also display the lower toolbar in Firefox. For steps on how to do so, please visit: https://help.roboform.com/hc/en-us/articles/115000443051-Show-lower-RoboForm-Toolbar-in-Firefox-windows-only- Regarding the desktop version, 7.9.28.8 is the last version of version 7. You can download version 8 and turn off the sync functionality to use it in "desktop" mode. To turn off sync, click on the RoboForm icon > Sync > Turn off sync.

A question should be unhappy. RF is very hard to contact, if possible, except by payment. RF has lost some of my passwords.

Roboform used to be great. Version 8, however, very bad news. Usually not working on Android (even when 'activated') - have to copy and paste log-ins and passwords manually. Only working haphazardly in Firefox and Cyberfox browser - e.g. sometimes not capturing new or changed passwords, not entering log-ins or passwords, not matching correct log-in for some websites.... So no longer doing the basic job reliably. Not to mention not handling two stage log-ins. And not providing integration with PaleMoon browser - really, is it so hard to provide an extension that works?

Hi there - thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback and notify us of some issues you're experiencing. The latest RoboForm web extension was built for Firefox 57. As such, PaleMoon and all other web browsers may have not yet implemented the new web extension technology. Regarding Android, we are working to release a fix in the very near future which should address the issues you listed.

Roboform used to be an excellent password manager but lately - 2017 - in Windows 10 it is not trouble free and will not sync my PC to my laptop so it is less useful

after paying $74.95 the system has not worked and after many, many, many attempts to speak to someone absolutely not connection or help. I have been with you for years and now when I need help no one answers. I am put on hold and after 15-20 minutes you hang up on me. Rediculus!!! I like it and have used it for years. I just downloaded the newest update and I'm disappointed that I no longer have a ROBOFORM Menu bar on my FIREFOX browser. I looked at Options, but don't seem to see how to get it back.

last update removed the full bar in the browser, need 3 extra clicks to reach the same login option as before, unnecessary and time wasting, also when on a site does not prompt the right password as it used to do before, after 10 years it's time to change, as they don't take in to consideration user experience

Hi Enzo - we're sorry to hear of your frustration resulting from the update. Per Mozilla, Firefox 57 will only support WebExtensions. As such, starting with version 8.3.7, the RoboForm extension will no longer include a full static toolbar. While we understand that this change is not ideal, we must adapt to browser updates as quickly as possible in an effort to ensure uninterrupted software use for all users. I've had RoboForm for a number of years and I'm very happy with its performance! As I grow with the various log-ins, so does RF! I highly recommend this software. Forget about writing down passwords and risking the potential of loss and certainly forget about remembering all of them - it's RF to the rescue!

Roboform keeps me out of trouble when I have trouble keeping my numbers in order. We have been using Roboform for many years and has never given any problems: until now, what's with the feud with Firefox? Altogether I have been quite happy with Roboform. Thank you!
