“I was turned onto RoboForm several years by a Bell South installer and was never disappointed. They do what they say. Originally for free but now for a low annual fee which is comparable or less than their competition. I have never thought to change.”

“I've been using RoboForm since the early days, I can't remember the exact year but it was one of their first versions and I've been using it ever since. It is by far the best password manager that I've ever looked at or considered using. Of course, because I loved it so long I would never choose another program to manage my passwords. The only reason I haven't upgraded to the latest version Is that I have a problem with having all my passwords on all devices, although it's very convenient nowadays I just worry that if someone got a hold of my phone or my iPad they would have access to everything that I log into. Now I know I'm very unusual when it comes to that, most people would love this convenience and I agree it is a great feature it's just I can't wrap my mind around it enough to make me want to go to the cloud to keep my passwords. I'm sure someday I will end up there and when I do it will be with RoboForm.”

We completely understand your concern and we appreciate you taking the time to share it with us. Your RoboForm account cannot be accessed without your Master Password. This is why it's crucial that you and only you know this password. Even if someone where to get a hold of your phone or iPad, they would be unable to access the data without the Master Password. Additionally, you can still update to version 8 and simply choose to turn off the sync functionality. By doing so, you will lose the convenience of having your data sync across multiple devices, but you will still be able to access it locally on a single device.

“I have used RoboForm for years and love it. I do get annoyed that you have a to have a password for the master password and that gets old quick. Another point, most security/anti-virus suites have secure browsers for finance. Roboform will not work in these browsers. These programs also offer a password program so that is something to consider.”

Hi Candace - thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. Regarding the "password for the Master Password," are you perhaps referring to the OTP? If so, this is an additional security layer that can be enabled or disabled. To turn off the OTP, simply log into your RoboForm Online account and click "Turn Off." Please note, however, once a device is approved for account access, you are not required to enter in the OTP. In terms of the secure finance browsers, we can neither speak to their level of security nor added features, but could you please submit the name of the browser(s) via a ticket and we will certainly look into it and see if something can be done. “I wish you could easily select logins to print just the id and password and not the notes of which is tedious as you have to go to each login and delete the notes if you do not want them to print. I would also like to have a extra master password for sites like banking which you used to have. It would be ideal if i could receive a text to enter a code on these secure sites i do not want anyone hacking into.”

Regarding extra authentication, please ensure you've enabled 2FA via RoboForm and through as many individual sites as you can (e.g. your banking site). Thanks for the feedback, Boyd. According to our records, you purchased a RoboForm Desktop license (V7), but you're currently using a free trial of RoboForm Everywhere (V8) which has expired. You may either upgrade to a paid Roboform Everywhere subscription or you may reactivate your RoboForm V7 Desktop license. We have sent a PM with instructions on how to reactivate your V7 license should you wish to revert back.

“I have used RoboForm for MANY years and have never had a problem. The program is easy to use and a safe place for all of my information. I would not know what to do without it. I was so happy when I found this program many, many years ago and I could not imagine being online without it.”
