“So unhappy with my door again a crack has appeared for the 4th time in 7 year's I so hope I get this one resolved to would not recommend, would put photo's up but wouldn't let me load”

“Door installed by Trusted Installer 2021, a year later a large bubble distortion appeared on the outside face, now 2004 October the frame around glass is swelling and has small open cracks, unfortunately the Installers have now closed, not impressed considering the cost of door and installation, my old PVC door lasted 25 years no problem, only changed when same installers were fitting a new window and recommended the quality would be superior.”

“!!!! DO NOT BUY A ROCKDOOR !!!! They look nice but that's about it. Im now on my second door as my first stared to warp and wouldn't lock. I put a level on the door and recorded a gap of nearly 20mm!! Was told it was because I bought a RED DOOR and the sun is attracted to them the most! Had problems with the fist door within a month or two. Had the installer out to adjust it. It worked for a week or two then started playing up. Had to slam the door and force the to lock it. Finally managed to get a.second.door under warranty. This work fine for three to four months and now im back to slamming or shoulder barging the door to lock it. Second door is one of the "new and improved" ones. Load of sh*t!!!”

“I am on my 4th Rockdoor! Do not buy anything from this brand. Warping, unable to lock properly and on the latest door a 3 inch by 2 inch bubble. Customer service is non existent. They put a layer of kevlar in the first doors and it expands in sunlight! They promised that they had changed the composition of the later doors, they lied! Why they carried on selling the doors when they knew there were serious issues , is beyond me!!”

“Door replacement number 4 has now failed on me. Rockdoor, ha more like sh*tdoor ! Bowing, cracking, warping, bubbling, wind howling through hinges & lock. Literally just tossed off £1,700 of my hard earned money on what is the most useless door ive ever seen !!! Just look at the reviews, i wish i did.”

“Impregnable, unbreakable, uncrackable security? I found out to my cost that this is not the case having my house burgled and my car stolen with the thieves coming through the Impregnable, unbreakable, uncrackable lock. Upon contacting Rockdoor I was met with total indifference and reference to T and Cs with them stating I must have left my keys in the door which is not the case and was made clear in my statement to the police. They also stated that as I didn't have the lock because the thieves took it that they couldn't conduct an investigation so levelled that at me as the customer to assist their getting out of their guarantee. They then also dropped a shoulder and stated the lock is made by Avocet who will not pay out on their guarantee if they don't have a lock to look at so deflected blame further. On the whole and in my experience their guarantee, their marketing and their claims around the lock are obviously false. I have crime numbers and emails to support what I am saying. My advice would be to be aware of the above and if a purchase is made do not expect any support from the company and total disregard by them for what has happened. None of them has contacted me to establish what happened and they appear to have total disdain for the customer. This also seems to be prevalent in other posts on here.”

“We bought two Rock doors and both of them have cracked, I was told that Rock doors were the best by our supplier! I didn't see his probl;em until a visitor pointed it out! I have contacted rock doors and was told they are out of warranty! They used to advertise that they were the only one recommended by the police! must have been a corrupt one, absolute rubbish avoid .”

“My late husband got a Rockdoor fitted thinking that I would be safe when he passed away. We had it fitted by a trusted Builder back in Dec'19 before he died. Now the door is sticking and I cannot get in without having to push my whole body against it to open it. Its like a merry go round trying to contact Rockdoor to find someone to fix it? Finally contacted GAP and as the builder has emigrated I have no warranty! so no one will look at it, so going to have to find a Builder and more than likely get it replaced! at my own cost, so much for warranties? not quite what my husband had in mind for me., I will never ever have a Rockdoor again. No service, no help and no one cares. Not a company I want to give my money to. There was not a 'No Star' review so had to give 1 which is far to high as far as I am concerned.”

“Had five doors in 10 years door number six cracked out of original warranty period they refused to replace it . Would not buy from them again door in mahogany totally useless.”

“I bought a double door had on going issue from day one , Same as lots of other people.. First the colour black is not black Wind whistling through Bubbles in the door appear in many places Joints cracked in several places now the lock won’t open spent over £2000 for what was supposed to be the best door in the market Rockdoor are always looking to blame and put the faults down to something else Not good when they manufactured it Hopefully they read this review along with the others below and take some responsibility for there product,, I look forward to a positive reply as now we’re using the back door to get in and out the house As a after care service it’s poor as they wouldn’t even send someone out to look at it ,,”

“DO NOT BUY A ROCKDOOR... Your old door will be less trouble!! I always read reviews, but very rarely leave them. But I feel I need to leave a review on Rockdoor. If you take notice of any reviews, please read all of these about Rockdoor and do not buy at Rockdoor at any costs. Firstly, yes these doors are solid and they look great, but the quality is so poor. Based on my experience, I believe there is an inherent fault with these doors which is down to the sun. We have 2 Rockdoors which were both installed November 2018. We always use the side door and rarely use the front door at all The front door warped and bubbled during summer 2019, which was replaced. Number 2 then bubbled and the skin and window separated, leaving a gap around the window of around 5mm. This was summer 2020 and within 12 months. Number 3 was fitted and we are now in the summer of 2021. This door has bubbled and the skin/window seperated in exactly the same place as the last door Incidentally, our front door is in full direct sun from lunchtime and is hot to touch in the summer. So far I have had 3 summers with a Rockdoor fitted. I have also had bubbling on 3 doors during the summer. I am convinced it is the sun The side door which is in constant use has no sun. We have no issues with this door Please see attached photos of the second and third doors. Unfortunately, I do not have pictures of the first”

“So disappointed with my Rockdoor. So very disappointed with my rockdoor . I had trouble with it soon as it was fitted. It was not locking right and then when it lock it was hard to open ever harder when u are disabled. The fitter returned moving the door frame .you could tell the key was bending trying to unlock the door.which I then had problems with the draft coming through. The stairs and hall way was like being outside. I contacted the fitter who went in to liquidation opened in new name started up again .I contacted rockdoor who say the door warranty is with the fitter because they have gone in liquidation the contract is ended . I notice 2018 doors there was a problem with the doors that bow .2019 on there web site says rockdoor new guarantees not to bow as of June 2019.it says we are please to report that the issue of bowing has been eliminate with 0%return rate achieved in the past 12 months .both internal tests prior to launch in our dedicated environment similar and close monitoring over 30.000 newly installed doors in circulation confirm this. We will continue to test all our doors to ensure door bowing remains firmly rooted in the past . My door is a 2018 door .They were a rockdoor fitters. Iam now stuck with a useless door witch I regret having .you would think knowing they new there were problems with doors that bow in 2018 the customer service would be able to help. All ive been told to ring gap.which i did with no help what so ever to resolve this matter. my door is badly bowed as we found out when another rockdoor fitter put a level on it . DONT TOUCH ROCKDOOR .”

“Two Doors Down No responsibilities... We have had a nightmare dealing with Rockdoor / GAP We bought a new (lifetime?) Rockdoor about 3 years ago, which in just over a year started to crack in 2 places. We contacted the installer who ordered a replacement door from GAP / Rockdoor and despite being outside of the installer one year guarantee, they apologised and refitted without charge. Now, just a few weeks ago this second Rockdoor started to crack again. This time we contacted Rockdoor / GAP direct to see if they could provide us with a new non-faulty door and was advised that the new doors are now more expensive and that they would not be liable for the installation as it is the fitter who we entered into the contract with and not them who is responsible for this. I feel this is unfair to the fitters. Are they really meant to reinstall faulty doors for (potentially) the 10 years of the guarantee through no fault of their own, but because Rockdoor are selling faulty doors? If Rockdoor have seemingly fixed the warping issue (as has been mentioned on their website) surely the minimum Rockdoor should offer us is a new non-warping door as replacement plus taking care of any installation costs? All we want is a new door that works!!!??? My quest to sort this out continues... Poor show Rockdoor. That is not good customer service, and I would not recommend them to anyone.”
