“Ronseal Decking Stain - Peeled in less than 6 Weeks
Had new decking laid last October and finalised in December. My Chippy Used Ronseal Decking Stain as per instructions including outside temperature and spent 2 days giving it 3 coats.
In less than 6 weeks the Ronseal Stain has peeled ??? contacted Ronseal, gave them all the details of the Stain, Pictures, Dates etc and have since heard nothing despite 3 original emails day 1 in response to Ronseal's 2 emails with info required, then 2 further email asking how they intend to remedy the situation both have been met with a resounding Silence.”
“Ronseal doesn't do what it says on the tin I bought 10 tins of ronseal and painted the whole house keeping two at strict instructions. Within one year it's as already gone yellow. Believing that it was just a bad batch I have started to paint the house again. When I came to the end of the tin only to put my paintbrush at the bottom picking up brown rust from the tin itself on the seams. No wonder ronseal rights on the tin do not stir as you will pick up the brown rust. not looking at the brush as I put it up onto the door now my door has a brown rust isn't life unfair. The other thing is it's not very glossy it certainly doesn't do what it says I would have hoped that it would have lasted more than just one year before having to paint.”
“I had bought ronseal stay white gloss but it doesn't do what it says on the tin with a 10-year guarantee. I painted my whole house with this paint but what even though I kept to its strict criteria to make sure the paint stayed the way it should I am disappointed after one year that I need to paint the doors and skirtings again as they have gone yellow. I wouldn't be writing this if if this year I hadn't opened up a New tin and after painting my doors once again hoping that I had only bought a bad batch which went yellow so to find that at the bottom of the tin it has gone rusty leaving my painted door with a brown rust as I didn't look at the brush as I put it onto the door only to see that my door has got brown rust now on it. The other problem is it doesn't stay glossy for a gloss paint it's more like a mat.”
“Bought some Ronseal roofing sealant from B&Q which had all settled to the bottom of the tin which made it impossible to stir and apply. Having contacted Ronseal they despatched several free tins to me.”
