“Post office sold me a “track and sign” for an urgent delivery of keys to Spain. Told me 3-4 days maximum. I’m now into my 15th day and still no delivery. Royal Mail tracker a waste of time as Royal Mail can’t tell me where the parcel is. BEWARE as the 3-4 days is only an aim not the delivery time as the post office told me. In disputes with both companies as they are blaming each other. Can’t even claim for lost package for 20 working days which takes me into August. Disgraceful unhelpful company. I’m sure the selling of the product is a trading standard issue as post office did quote me 3-4 days maximum. I’m fighting this all the way.”
“I had a bad experience of being followed by a Royal Mail vehicle, being driven in a dangerous manner, but cannot find any way to contact them about the issue.
Vehicle, MX59 HFO, M1 junction 16, heading north., approx., 1745 hours 24/07/19”
“Appallingly arrogant organisation.h Paid £9.60 for Royal Mail Special Delivery by 13.00 next day. Small package containing an expensive hearing aid (£1695 each) for repair.
Paid for additional cover, (although RM included compensation that more than covered the replacement cost).
Well they lost it. And now they're putting many obstacles in my way avoid paying up.
I have: RM's own tracking information which shows the progress of the package step by step (and timed) until it vanished at the delivery depot in Golders Green.
RM are actively seeking to avoid paying up by requesting proof of posting (which I have supplied) and proof of cost (which I have also supplied).
Still sitting on their hands 30 days later and unrepentant at this appalling example of the very worst customer service I have ever encountered. Unnapologetic and arrogant.”
“Re my previous review complaining that my mail had been redirected from England to Kuala Lumpur instead of to my new address in Spain.... last week I received a letter from RM stating the problem has now been rectified. But,low and behold, today I have received two letters addressed to me but intended for the gentleman now living in Kuala Lumpur.... one of which is his bank statement. I have re packaged them and posted them on to him. Come on Royal Mail... have you sorted the problem out or am I still missing mail? Signed, Maureen Tinsley”
“Their website is the most confusing, badly linked, continually having to login in to move from page to page website I have ever experienced. DPD are cheaper, quicker and their app is a million times easier to use.”
“Royal Mail must be the most useless company I know. Try to phone their help line for any help, whatever number you press for help never works. Eventually you get in to a telephone on hold system that costs 5p per minute, so far I have never got through and continually telling me I am moving up the queue all the time charging me to try to get help for my £200 missing parcel.... What a useless set of idiots...”
“1st class parcel not delivered after 4 days, 2nd time a 1st class parcel has been late in the space of 2 months, very slow service with non existent customer service.”
“What went wrong? What went right?
lost documents despite paying for secure next day signed for Apparently its the wrong service for documents.
Cant get through to customer service when you can they cant help, accused me of lying, thank god for call logs I could go on for ages but why use my time. Don't use them its not worth it the documents they lost of mine are massive, massive implications and financial cost. In the middle of a complaint now. So stressed its awful”
“Next day delivery is absolutely waste of money, you'd be better of using other couriers as even though royal mail charges a fortune, it won't give you a time slot. I won't be using their special delivery and other similar delivery options ever again.”
“I had ordered a very valuable sports memorabilia poster online and when it arrived and I opened it, the poster was damaged and mishandled, the annoying part is that there was a giant ‘FRAGILE’ sticker on the package. Terrible service once again from Royal Mail but I’m not surprised to be honest.”
“A parcel that I required to complete a job last week was delivered to an address 16 miles from my actual address. Royal Mail’s reply “....we will try to recover it but it may be a problem”. The 15 minute call including a 7 minute wait cost me £1.50. Waited 1 week, no parcel no update from Royal Mail. Phoned 03457 740740 again this time waiting a further 27 minutes for an answer. Total cost of call £3.50. Royal Mail still have no idea if the parcel has been recovered and I have been told that I can only claim after another 72 hours wait for the value of the parcel contents and 2nd Class postage, no recompense for the phone calls or wasted time or the loss of my client. Royal Mail you are no better than a thief with the word Royal as a prefix. You should be absolutely ashamed but going by your service you probably won’t be. Unable to complete much of this form because it is not applicable as I don’t have my parcel.”
“Postmen don't try hard enough to access the building. It has happened dozens of times that I was home for a package to then get the message that "no one was home". I then end up re-delivering it to a post office for which I have to pay extra every time.”
“Very poor communication and customer services. I posted a parcel using tracked 24 service. The parcel was posted 8:42 am. However, by 3:00pm, there is no updated information on the tracking system. If RM is not going to update the information, how do I suppose to track my parcel? Try to contact the customer service and it seems mission impossible. Very poor service.”
“Will NOT deliver parcels. Only cards saying you were out. Waited for hours today then found this card on my doormat. "Sorry you were out." Sorry Royal Mail is incapable of delivering mail.”
“Yet again they did not even try to deliver the parcel - just put a card through the door. Over and over again they do this. You'd probably have to stand beside the open front door all day to actually get a parcel delivered. Garbage service.”
