Bought a Gates timing belt from RTG Automotive... less than 5000 miles use it snapped, wrecking my engine and bending 10 out of 16 valves. Belt arrived in a plastic bag and no OE packing, so looking back it must have been a fake part. Will be sending it to Gates for investigation of counterfeit parts and contacting trading standards.

Part failed after a few hours . Part has a 5yr warranty. Unable to contact rtg as they do not answer their phone .

Ordered from RTG on the 5th of june wiper motor was meant to arrive within 48 hours. Never arrived contacted on the 12th of june as royal mail office have said it was delivered, and showed me a picture of a completely different address. And told me to contact the seller Contacted the seller and bassicky got fobbed off rang seller multiple times and no answer £99.95 out of pocket Should have just purchased from euro car parts to begin with

One star for delivery. No stars for anything else. Ordered a new washer motor with an advertised five year guarantee. Failed completely after nine months. Despite numerous phone calls that were never answered and emails that were never replied to I had to purchase from another source and pay for fitting. Why is this company still allowed to trade, when it appears to have been reported to trading standards on a number of occasions ?

It appears that this company has a very bad reputation for supplying inferior products. I bought a set of spark plugs for £26. Not the cheapest on e bay. Within 3 months they failed. Cost me £184 to put right. No compensation. Just a series of e mails back and forward to get my money back. As everyone else has said. Just avoid them!

Scammers - paid for wheel nuts - they sent me a pack of cheap CDs, old phone cover. Think the scam is to hold on to your money for as long as possible. Reported to eBay, report to Trading Standards n preparation.

Ordered from their ebay site . Only to find out 3 springs from coil pack missing . Enquired and they treated me like a idiot busying they must be in the robber tubes ,but they not. No offer of sending out 3 new springs . So I list a job on a car do now having to sue rtg and infirm trading standards and hse also had to let other people on social media how poor the aftersales service is ie ignorant and unprofessional . The worst seller rtg us in ebay still no reply . Can't wait to se them.in court.

Those people shouldn't be allowed do business trading standards should watch out for them they are very poor customer service sent missing parts you will be regret buying form those people no one care no one reply at some point you will get your refund but lot of headaches and time you will end up buying at other places for same sort of price or maybe cheaper.. don't bother buying from those people.

Ordered a stepper motor , they sent the wrong item,before they would do anything I had to send photo's of the item, then they said return it to them, I had to pay to return it as they wouldn't send me a return slip, they told me to follow a link but it wouldn't work I tried several times , then in the en they refunded me the initial price but not the cost of return. ..why did they not resend the correct item I ordered....so 2 weeks after ordering an item I am still without it....... These people don't care about customers. STAY AWAY!

If I could rate 0 I would. Terrible attitude on the counter sales a sarcastic and abrupt tall guy behind the desk . Wanted to explain my query no chance he wasn't interested .I ended up walking away .bad experience almost bullying

Delivery was fine but product (wiper linkage) was faulty after couple month came with 5 year warranty but have been messed around and not recieved an refund replacement and paypal case refused. AVOID THIS COMPANY IF YOU WANT GOOD QUALITY AND CUSTOMER SERVICE IS ABSOLUTELY NONE EXISTING. SO ATROCIUS CUSTOMER SERVICE PRICED AVERAGE DELIVERY WAS OK RETURNS ARE A JOKE AND REFUNDS ARE NOT WELCOME BY THIS COMPANY WE CAN'T GET A REPLY FROM THESE AND WARRANTY HA HA WHAT A ABSOLUTE CROCK OF SH*T NON EXISTING.

Ordered a timing belt kit for my car after giving them my full registration number as well as engine number they confirmed it was the right part however when I took it to the garage and they took my timing belt apart they found that the tensioner pulley I had provided them was the incorrect one which meant I had to pay for ramp time until the garage sourced the correct tensioner pulley and my car was mobile again. They failed to acknowledge that it was their fault and that they should be paying the extra charges I encountered but simply replied back saying return for a full refund like that was even practical!!! Aviod as they have ZERO customer service!!! They made the Mistake but I had to pay for it!!!!! Reported them to Trading standards.

What kind of company is run like this .poor customer service avoid .go elsewhere .rude counter guy with no people skills . interrupted me on every occasion . arrogant and plain rude .note to owner ..look at your reviews and act on them .

I bought a Febi Control Arm Suspension Kit with a 5 year warranty, after 9 months a part failed so i contacted RTG they started off saying sorry we will sort this out and send you a new part please confirm your address, then no reply so i contacted them and they said how about a partial refund then they said oh we need all the kit which is about 8 parts on my car suspension taking off my car returning then they would send it back to febi and await a reply. RTG Automotive in my view have conned me. they listed the parts brand new on an ebay sale, the person i dealt with was Lois.
