“Steveo. Bought "Fix All" sealant from Mildenhall Branch,served by Lucie, got home, found the tiny writing saying it was no good for the work I needed to do. Went back the day after, again served by Lucie, who refunded the "Fix All" sealant then searched and found a suitable sealant for me. Excellent service,very pleased.”

“Ordered a product for delivery to my old address by mistake. Item already recorded as delivered by Parcelforce (who i was unable to contact). Contacted Screwfix Customer Service (Jilly). Within thirty minutes item had been traced. The driver had left it at the nearest Screwfix counter after it was rejected at the delivery address. It was delivered to my new address the next day.”

“I have used the Ferndown store many times this year for all sorts from plumbing and door fittings, screws, fasteners, some Dewalt power tools and a small generator. Aside from an extra battery, which was too expensive, the tools were very competitively priced and everything has either been in stock locally or available next day. Staff have been very helpful and when I wanted to cancel an order, did so efficiently with a full refund applied fast. It is my go-to store locally for any diy needs.”

“Ordered product and told I could pick it up the next day which is what I needed but guess what it didn’t turn up. Can’t get a refund until you collect the product. Beware”

“Every time I want a tool or a some thing associated with it they never have it in and also when ever they get a good product in they have it for about 12 months and then discontinue it but still advertise it which is so disappointing.”

“After 11 days of waiting I am still waiting for a refund have rang up and have been told today it could possibly be another 5 working days before I get it not happy at all after being told yesterday morning that it will be in my bank byclos3 of day yesterday”

“I returned a pair of DeWalt gel core knee pads described as having a one-year warranty to Screwfix at Netwon Aycliffe 41 days after purchase. I explained to the staff member that I had worn them approximately ten times. And that I believe their condition indicated poor quality or a faulty product for which I would be grateful to accept a repair or replacement. At this point, I was told that "they do wear out" before being asked how many hours per day I had worn them; I explained that the number of hours per day of usage varied, and they were worn during my 8 hour working day when needed. The staff member then implied that the condition should be accepted if the knee pads were worn for 8 hours per day. This staff member's sentiment equates to 80 hours of use and is unsubstantiated. So I asked her why this information was missing from the description, and I explained how this information attained from her assessment would greatly benefit customers in making an informed decision at the time of purchase. She was unable to provide an explanation or indeed apply common sense in respect of returned goods less than six weeks old. I explained that I had decided to make the return because I have worn numerous different brands of knee pads over a 25 year period, and most, if not all, have lasted at least one year. She made a refund and chose to no longer serve me by asking another staff member to take my order. I fully understand that warranties often contain fair use clauses; however, I consider it wholly inappropriate to even attempt to imply this could be the case after 41 days. Having demonstrated a lack of common sense, this particular staff member would benefit significantly from a basic understanding of legislation relating to the sale of goods.”

“Made an order, was only told it wasn't in store after i had paid, i received a text message while in my car outside their store to tell me it would be sent from the distribution centre to store. (I was already picking up a previous order so thought i would order another item to make it worthwhile driving all that way... BAD MOVE). I contacted screwfix via their website online chat system on my phone and the rep told me he would cancel it and refund me. He lied, I checked my screwfix account today and it is still processing, It has not been cancelled or refunded. DO NOT TRUST SCREWFIX. Obviously i was put through to some 3rd world country rep in their chat system, someone who has no idea of the English language or how cancellations and refunds work in the UK”
