Tour of Milan, Italian Riviera, and longer stay in central Tuscany, October. Hotels, food, guides and tour manager excellent, and I speak from experience as a former tour manager. Enjoyed the days at leisure in Tuscany giving us the option to just relax. I was booked for 2 week Sicily tour in March, had to cancel as my husband was in poor health. Looking forward to travel again, when of course it is safe after this Covid outbreak.

I have used a number of tour companies. Senior Discovery Tours is my absolute favourite. I hope to use them again as soon as the travel bans are lifted.

Travelled the Rockie Mountineer! Awesome trip in Vancouver, Whistler, on the train, Jasper and Edmonton! Travelled New York City bus and walking tour! Outstanding! Travelled Victoria Gardens tour. Breathtakingly beautiful! Accommodations and meals always beyond expectation. Your tour guides so knowledgeable and friendly, caring and fun! A very efficient and well organized, professional organization, yet very personable and attentive to all needs. Looking forward to travels with you again once the world is deemed reasonably safe for travels and tourism! Gina Winsliw

We have been on 6 trips with SDT and we have enjoyed most of them. Our last trip was to Portugal in March and with the impending Covic 19 virus impending the trip should have been cancelled. Our experience in Portugal was very stressful to say the least and not enjoyable. Our Tour Manager lacked experience and that didn’t help. We would have expected a more pro active approach in cancelling our trip and not putting us in a very difficult situation.

Senior Discovery tours was recommended to us . Now we are planning to travel on our second tour. We have a good feeling it won’t be our last. Highly recommend for the senior traveler.

We have done two trips with Senior Discovery Tours, two weeks in Tuscany and 30 days on the Costa del Sol. In both cases the accommodations were excellent, the day trips interesting and our fellow travelers compatible. Our last trip to Spain was interrupted by the COVID 19 outbreak but our tour director in particular and Senior Tours as backup, provided comfort and leadership. I have to say that on both trips our tour directors were exceptional. We look forward to being able to travel with Senior Discovery Tours again.

We went to Morocco with you. The variety and quality of the destinations and accommodation was very good. There were downsides: 1. The guide on the bus was hard to understand, and not just by me. I have severe hearing difficulties, so asked to be seated near the front of the bus (not at the front). The tour leader said she would check with the office. Request declined. After return from the trip I became aware that compliance with my request would not have made any difference, since my hearing problem is caused by my incapacity to differentiate sounds. However on one occasion, during a tour of historic buildings, I was able to understand the local guide, and was not the only one who found a difference in understanding. So I must conclude that the selection of your on- bus guide should seriously emphasize the clarity, and perhaps pitch of the voice of a guide- to -be. Luckily, I was prepared to accept that I would not understand much, and expected to bridge that by interesting myself in the site environments, during destination visits. What I did not take into consideration was the fact that most of the talking of the guide would take place on the bus, where the best alternate activity was looking out the window. Which brings me to point 2. of the downsides: too much time on the bus. Most of the older persons would be well served by being afforded some time for exercise. There was too little opportunity for that. If anyone was not prepared to do some physical activity, or could not, then those of us who try to keep physical exercise in our daily lives should not be deprived of that opportunity, if at all possible. And too much time on the bus does not help. Ok, that is it. You asked for comments, and I hope mine can be of assistance. Klaus Wehrenberg, Aurora

Good combination of planned tours, excursions, etc. and free time.... Some Leaders better than others..... ( e.g. photos were taken in Scotland Rail and Sail last May to be sent to us ----- I never received them )....... most Suppers included , which adds to group cohesiveness....... Picnic lunches is a great idea --- would like to see that more often ! Have you considered a northern Canadian trip including White Pass and Yukon Railway ?

As a senior, I find your tours have too much walking and too much repetition of itinerary. In Japan too many visits to temples: no tea ceremony, no geisha history, just modern Japan. The hotels were good, for the most part. I like the fact that the meals were all included. I'm not fond of evening buffets. I walk with a cane and the majority of your trips say, we have to be fit walkers. I'd like to see more sights and drive directly to them. I also like my own room, thus your trips are more costly. I don't like gratuities for tour managers because they don't do anything but take you to hotels and get you on the bus. Local guides are good. Also my taxi ride home at Winnipeg wasn't there and I had to call him to pick me up. He should have had a sign outside at the air port so I could tell where he was. He said he was there but didn't find me and left. Your trips are expensive but I like the fact that, for the most part, all is paid up front. I don't do payments on the internet and like tickets, itinerary and whatever I need sent to me by paper mail. Most trips of yours are not available to me because of walking, and I use a cane. Also you don't have a direct office link in Winnipeg, and I like to see a travel agent. Also, I'd like better quality seating on planes, and there doesn't seem to be a choice for upgrades. Your brochures are attractive. Single supplements are too high. I see your ads in the Winnipeg Free Press. Seniors need more options for travel.

I have taken two trips with Senior Tours. Both were enjoyable and delivered what was promised. When the world settles down, I will be happy to travel with them again.

All of my Senior trips have been enjoyable. The three outstanding trips were Sicily, Cornwall - Devon and the Channel Islands. The group leaders are knowledgeable and helpful. I appreciate the way the trips are structured, with meals and tips included. Hope we can all travel again soon. Janis Knifton

We have travelled with Trafalger Tours and Globus Tours among other Tour operators. Senior Tours out performed all other Tour Companies we travelled with. After our first Senior Tour to Egypt in 2010, we only toured with Senior Discovery Tours. To date, we have taken 10 Senior Tours. We travelled to Egypt, India,South Africa, Spain, Japan ,Korea, Italy as well as Newfoundland and the Maritimes. All 10 trips were Well planned out and Extremely well conducted. I hope we will soon be able to explore the world with Senior Discovery Tours.

A wonderful experience traveling with their expertise and planning.

The excursion group was too large for one tour guide . Prefer 10-12 people per guide. Not impressed with the food & not enough free time at destinations.

We have been on two Senior Discovery tours, one to the Maritimes the other to Quebec. We enjoyed both tours very much. They were well organized, we saw/participatd in many sights and activities. The tour guides were great—personable, helpful and fun. The busses were always clean and we felt very confident that the driver would get us to the next destination safely. Accommodation and meals were very good, with the exception of the motel we were to stay at in Charlottetown. The motel was old, not clean, not near any amenities, nowhere to go for a walk, we have nothing positive to say about the Charlottetown accommodation. It was so bad that our tour director changed our accommodation to a Quality Inn which was worse. As I said all other accommodations were very good.
