“The Walking Tours in conjunction with HF Holidays very well planned. Small group travel combining varied walks and site seeing of local of
areas. Country House accommodation a plus.
Only one coach tour (to India) which was fine & luckily not too large.
More than 25 travellers isn't acceptable. Some hotels were not good,
and SDT's inclusion of most meals isn't always welcomed. Travellers
like to explore in locations which aren't remote and have time away
from the group. For this India trip, I understand the need to include
most meals due to locations.”
“Everything was beautifully organized, and our Tour Manager Barbara was excellent. Italy was just in the beginnings of the coronavirus pandemic, and as we were in Sicily, our itinerary was constantly changing, and government orders were closing sites, Barbara managed to chop and change not only to keep us safe but to try to make the best of what we could see. We had to be brought home early because of Covid-19, and through all the rush to get flights and connections, Barbara kept us calm and informed. Head office staff office also pulled out all the stops and within hours had us booked and ticketed on flights home. What we did experience in Sicily was beautiful. I would travel with Senior Discovery Tours again.”
“I had the first great experience travelling with your company to Las Vegas in 2018. It was amazing. We were only a small group which made it that much more pleasant. Everyone knew each other by the first day!
We saw so many places and were kept busy the whole trip.
The hotel was central - we had breakfast everyday in Paris!

“I have spent approximately $35-$40,000 with Senior Tours. My experiences were always excellent with Senior Discovery Tours up until my last trip to Tanzania where I was abandoned by our guide when I was stopped at the airport. Our guide with a small group of approximately 12 people continued through leaving me and my travel partner on our own to deal with the airport authorities who searched me to the point of feeling violated and charged us an arbitrary tax for wooden carvings and stole items from my luggage. Great trip (except for the airport experience) but when I called the manager to express my concern around the guide abandoning us I was less than pleased with the response from the manager. So I likely will not be using Senior Discovery Tours. I would have given 5 out of 5 stars but my last experience specific to the guide dropped my rating to 1 star.”

“I felt that I got good value for my money and that I was well looked after. The accommodations weren't always what I would have liked but they were acceptable. One tour that I took was guided by a member of the office staff who was not familiar with the tour and relied on the bus driver, who was very knowledgeable, to help guide the tour. It was a very good tour but not what I would have expected from a company of your experience.”
“We have been on two tours. There were good things and bad things about each of them. Hotels were generally very good. There is free time to do what you want or to rest. Care is taken to make sure that the coach stops for washroom breaks. However, the pace can be too demanding for many on the tour, despite being able to walk and climb stairs.”
“My primary concern is that you list just about all your tour vacations as "those joining our tours to Europe (or wherever) must be able to walk fairly long distances and climb stairs easily. I understand your concern for Tour Managers and the persons taking the tour but I feel it has been a bit overstated consistently and as a result likely many potential tour participants are being eliminated. Possibly this could be toned down or in some instances even eliminated.”

“Excellent pacing regarding the organized tour content each day and the individual time to explore and/or relax. We especially enjoy and chose the itineraries that provide the least number of hotel changes.....three hotel changes over two weeks is our preference. Paris and southern France was our last trip. Looking forward to returning for similar tours once the virus realities are under control.”

“We should never have been sent on the tour however we were told if we did not go we would lose all our money. We were stuck in our hotel room for a week in Spain not able to leave with very little communication as to how we were getting home. Once home it took many emails and a very long time to receive any compensation. Not sure we will take another Senior Discovery Tour.”
